The hotel is quite nice bur Blbad breakfast (will never forget that bad chemical fruit juice), noisy room on deluxe category, unfriendly staff, got some money stolen by cleanning services when went for breakfast. You can definitely get better for the same money in Istanbul.

Location: good, just 10 of tram station, walking distance of the good restaurants and attractions. Easily to be accessed by tram. Staff: Very helpful and polite. Accommodation: comfortable and clean. Breakfast: was good. Good value for money.

It was about 5-7 mins walk from Aksaray metro station. It took us 30 minutes from the airport with the metro and the location was convenient. We booked this hotel because of its location. It was 30 minutes walk to Sultanahment and 30 minutes walk to Taksim. We never took a Tram or Metro during our stay. We could walk... More

Asked distinctive processing room to the memory of the marriage, but is not anything processing and reception does not have any information about this request did not provide any kindness

Great service! Lovely room, good food. Really enjoyed the stay. It's right near the tram and train station which is perfect for getting to the airport and the centre of the old city. The budgies were lovely. Didn't get to have a Turkish bath, but that also looked like it would be great.

My wife and I, with another couple, have visited Istanbul on two occasions for long weekends. On our last visit, June'14, we stayed at the Grand Durmaz. On arrival the Reception was fairly busy but we were quickly checked in by friendly staff. We were allocated two rooms on the first floor at the back of the hotel. The rooms... More

Staying in Grand Bazaar

Neighborhood Profile
Grand Bazaar
Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighborhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.
