I've been here for weekend in February. Hotel was chosen for location near galata tower, walking distance to karakoy, galata bridge. My purpose was walk around and have nice food and Ive got it. Great terrace with galata view! Minus is lavatory leakage, no window view)) quite expensive 130euro 2 nights

Management and staff are helpful and friendly - the apartment is very pleasant, clean and well equipped with just what you need, nicely decorated, wooden floors. Amazing views on the roof top. It's quiet even though restaurants and cafes are just a few step away and the riverside is just a 10mn walk down from there. Kitchen with table and... More

My husband, adult daughter and i stayed in the Galata Tower apartments in September 2013. It was our first time in Istanbul and we enjoyed the place greatly. The area is fascinating, and the apartment was fine. We were on the second floor and a higher flat might have been nicer, but nothing was available. The management was a little... More

We stayed in a cute apartment here that was quaint but nicely sized and decorated. It had everything we needed inc. washing machine, fridge etc. The location is a stones throw away from Galata tower and therefore a very good location to explore that area of the city and walk up to Taxim square. The wifi was pants but there... More

We enjoyed our stay in our Galata Tower VIP apartment very much. The apartment is tasteful and well furnished and we were impressed by the old staircase with the marble stairs. Everything was nice and neat an nothing was missing. We appreciated particularly the simple things - a bottle of water in the fridge, tee-bags, sugar – that made our... More

As a first time traveler to Istanbul, I had no idea where to stay. My college-student daughter is doing a semester abroad and I was traveling alone. After looking at hotel options, I decided to rent a small apartment instead and never regretted that decision for a moment. The apartment location was perfect for walking to various places and accessing... More

I had read the review a girl posted about the building works they were doing so I decided to contact them and ask for it. They said the job had already finished. That was not true and the workers were still next to the apartments (you can see the pictures) and it was noisy (it seems it will take a... More

only its position is worth, since it's located right near Galata tower. All the rest is really poor. small place, dirty and very very noisy. We asked through Booking.com a quiet room, but the responsible did not even tell us that in the house nearby are working (and it seems this will go on for a year and more...): the... More

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
