Kölemen Homes is located only a few steps from Galata Tower and on the half way between Taksim and Sultanahmet. We booked the apartment no. 3 on the 2nd floor. This apartment has two rooms and enough space for 2 people. However, and the most important part was that you should be aware that the service for guests was horrible,... More

My partner and I recently stayed for the second time in Istanbul at these apartments. We stayed for three nights and it was like having a home ourselves! We arrived at 4am after a late flight and lost luggage and the owners were so helpful and lovely with giving the taxi driver directions and us extra toiletries since we had... More

We were three people staying. The place was clean and fresh and looked recently renovated. A little bit small but enough for a four-day stay. Well located, in a central and lively district of Istanbul, very close to a Metro station and with a lot of restaurants, cafes and shops nearby. Some attractions could be reached on foot, although a... More

Visiting Istanbul very often, in this time discovered Koleman Homes as one of the best option for stay. Charming apartment, without pretending posh - great value. Subtle attitude and service, what makes feel more comfortable. Location is simply great! In fact we stayed in the center of the major sites of the city, in the same time apart from noisy&... More

We stayed in Koleman Homes for 4 days with 3 other family friends , in all we had 9 kids. The location is very central with shops, restaurants and small supermarkets at 3-4 minutes walking distance. Our stay was alright , the rooms were 1 bedroom with living area and ensuite spaces - one small apartment on each floor. The... More

We spent a week in this very well positioned apartment which had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Lovely decor, very clean, a decent sized wardrobe, functional kitchenette and both the main bed and sofa bed were very comfortable. Defne and her mother were very welcoming and responded promptly to any requests we had- from providing... More

My girlfriend and I spent a few days in this apartment. Nothing to say about the place: good position, clean and really cute even if a bit narrow. The last morning we had a problem with the door of the bathroom and we tried to call the landlord in order to help us: no answer until 3 hours and all... More

We (a family of 5) went to Istanbul with 3 other families (9 kids and 7 adults in total) and we each took a one bedroom apartment. This was a nice arrangement as we had a floor each to ourselves and almost took the entire buidling. The rooms were functional, a decent double bed in the 'nook' (not really a... More

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
