Very good location, excellent service. Quite hostel and a clean room in the heart of Taksim. Very good for budget travellers. There is no lift and we were on the top floor, but the guy from the reception helped us with our luggage. We will definitely choose Liberta again if we need a place to crush in Istanbul soon!

I stayed in a single room! the room was big and clean, i had my own bathroom. During my stay i was out all the day and only came back late at night to sleep, so i wont comment on the environment. The staff was friendly. But the direction to the Hostel wasnt clear enough. Oh and skip the breakfast... More

A friend and I were traveling to Istanbul, and happened to stumble across very positive reviews for the Liberta Hostel located in central Beyoglu (close to Taksim square) - great location, great price, great staff, great night life. Those reviews couldn't have been more accurate - I only have superlative things to say about this place. The staff is absolutely... More

I stayed here on 2 different occasions: The first time was quite bad actually. The second was good. Thus the average rating. The first time I stayed in room 5, which had no storage lockers. The guy at the desk, (I don't know his name was kind of being a very rude), He was not really friendly or helpful at... More

Liberta was such a good find. The location right near Taksim Sqaure is unbeatable. The staff are so kind and helpful and the rooms are big and clean with full sized bathrooms. I found the communal area was a great place to meet people as well as in the attached restaurant. The staff organised a party while I was there... More

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
