We decided to try this hotel for a two night stay to take in the sights of Istanbul. The place was spotless, and decorated top to bottom ottoman era style, with beautiful wallpaper and furniture. Location couldn't have been better. Just far enough away from all he hustle and bustle but still only a 5 minute walk to all he... More

Beautifully decorated hotel rooms. The rooms are small but they are decorated lavishly! There was a complimentary spiced nut mix waiting for us on the bed upon arrival which was so tasty. Service was excellent, nothing was a problem. Breakfast was great, a good selection with the option of the chef cooking an omelette or crepes. A little difficult to... More

We stayed 8 nights at the Sultan Tughra Hotel and it was a very pleasant stay thanks to the dedicated service of the staff. The manager was very kind and helpful to assist us in changing rooms and booking a restaurant for us. There are many nice restaurants in the neighborhood and it's about 5 min walk to Blue Mosque.... Amazing hotel. Perfect hosts, free coffe, umbrellas, amazing luxury rooms. I could not say enough of this place, you just must book it in order to see it. The price is big high, but room and whole hotel are perfect.

We stayed at the Sultan Tughra Hotel for 6 nights. The location, a short stroll from Sultanahmet Square (Blue Mosque, Ayasofya and tram), is perfect for those who want you be close to the tourist sites but in a more quiet environment. The staff was equally outstanding. They were all polite and caring. When arriving in the evening after a... More

I had the pleasure of visiting Turkey 4 nights in September. I stayted at the Sultan Tughra hotel which is very close to Hagis Sofia and Blue Mosque. There was breakfast served every morning with eggs and crepes. The staff would offer tea or coffee everytime they would see you. The staff here was fantastic. The concierge was handled by... More

My husband and I stayed here for a few days and we just loved it. The hotel is only 5 minutes away walking distance from the blue mosque and 10 minutes from the grand bazaar. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. When we arrived late at night, everything was explained to us in regards with breakfast times and... More

The service here is incredible, they make you feel so welcome and go out of their way to ensure your stay is the best it can be. Nothing is too much trouble and they are all so helpful. The rooms are on the small size but this is due to the building being authentic and carefully restored so it is... More

My wife and I stayed here for two nights from November 1st to November 3rd 2015. Was a very good experience. No complaints. Extremely polite staff. Treated us really well. Want to especially mention Mr. Kemal who had received us and helped us with initial guidance on the city, shown around on the map and treated us very well. The... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
