It was an amaizing experiance with Emerald, Location was very good, the hotel is clean and the stuff was very helpful specially Mr. Goknm and Mr. Fateh. I believe the breakfast need to be improved a little-bit. Very near for metro station and Bus station. The price also reasonable

Good location to start with. Few minutes walk to the Taksim center, or whatever it's called, and the metro/tram to get to the Ferry, which takes you to the Asian side of Istanbul. The price is relatively cheap, too! The bed I'm currently laying on while writing this is absolutely heaven! The room is quite tidy, a bit tight, but... More

Room was good, hotel in good location. Accomodation around this part of Istanbul is really expensive so I guess it was a deal. Only problem was the room is sited very close to the reception desk (which I didnt know) and I had very noisy neighbours, I could hear everything in the room next door, at all hours. TV was... More

Had a fantastic experience at the Emerald. We booked four nights and were upgraded to a better room upon our arrival, and man, what an upgrade! We were on the top floor, with a balcony overlooking the city. It was such a treat! The staff was great. Very helpful. The breakfasts were good too. I would definitely go back next... More

Nice, clean room, even a little balcony. Breakfast was Turkish, which threw me a bit, but the hotel was very close to the metro station, tourist shopping, some great kebabs, and plenty of Turkish Delights. Not bad for the price.

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
