Hotel is nice, especially sea view rooms. Rooms are VERY small, so keep that in mind. I dont care about that, but some people might. Every room is functional with nice bathroom, big bed and with what you need to prepare coffee and tea (complimentary form hotel). We booked over booking.com. Although we booked rooms in basement for cheap as... More

I had booked a group at this hotel based on the excellent reviews and the fact that it is away from bars and clubs and very close to the major tourist attractions. The location is fantastic It is in an old part of the city and very traditional with narrow winding roads and a ten minute walk will bring you... More

I was looking for a convenient place to stay so I could see sights like Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, Topkapı Palace, etc. This hotel was great for location. On top of that, the hotel staff were the best. They are young, great at what they do, proficient in English, and helpful to the extreme. I even got multiple e-mails... More

We stayed at this hotel in January 2015. We booked 2 rooms, a double and single. The rooms were very clean, small but cosy. We didn't spend much time in the rooms so their sizes really were not important. The location of the hotel was great - at walking distance to the Sultanahment area and tramvay stops. We actually booked... More

First night I got the suite. That was a nice surprise. Living room with sofa's and a small well equipped kitchen. Even a laundry machine. Big balcony with a wiev over the Marmara Lake. The second night my double room was ready. Not so big but nice and clean. Nice bathroom with everything you need for your personal hygiene. Nice... More

Arrived at the hotel to a warm welcome and was told we were getting upgraded to a suite which was situated next door in the annex. Before being taken to our room we were given a lot of very useful information and a map of sultanahmet. The suite was very nice and had a living room with a couple of... More

There are many hotels in the area, which are ideal because of the excellent location near the most important sightseeings, restaurants, cafes and bazaars. And of course the 5 min walk from the tram station! This one stands out for its welcoming and caring stuff, the tasty and abbondand breakfast and the cleanliness. It's a good money for value hotel, which... More

We cannot suggest this hotel. We experienced several issues during our stay - including being sent to a different property against our will - when the hotel was oversold. The other property did not offer the same amenities or neighborhood as this hotel, so we were disappointed. Once others checked out and rooms became available, we were checked into the... More

I do not know why they are getting positive reviews. The place was generally unkempt and shoddy. We found bugs in the beg. Totally gross!! The breakfasts were disappointing and I found hair in numerous dishes. Again, gross!! I would not stay here again. It was way to expensive for the condition of the hotel.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
