This hotel was just fabulous. The service at the front desk and at the adjoining restaurant was exceptional. We loved the food so much that we dined at the hotel restaurant twice in our five day stay in Istanbul. The reception staff helped us everyday with our selection of where is good to eat, how to get places and what... More

Guttingly only had a night here on my way back from Ankara - recommended by a friend and so glad I found this lovely, superbly well-designed gem. Stunning look and feel, super staff, and the whole place a total home from home. Great location too. Stay here!

Karaköy Rooms could be a reason on its own to visit İstanbul. You will simply be so sad to leave and will be coming back again and again. It has everything and much more you can expect from a small luxury hotel with lots of character, minimal design, attention to detail and most importantly run by great people. Location is... More

Only stayed the one night as we passed through but our stay was amazing. The studio was huge and spotlessly clean. Excellent location next to all the attractions of Istanbul and very close to the Karakoy - Kadikoy ferry. The guys on reception are extremely friendly and helpful. Overall this is a superb little hotel.

I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this hotel neatly tucked near the cruiseship port. Close to Galata Tower and the infamous Istiklal Caddesi street, this hotel provides great service, nicely designed rooms that are spacious, very clean, very comfortable with free breakfast in their restaurant called Karakoy Lokantasi that provides excellent breakfast buffet of healthy, delicious and carefully chosen items... My husband and I stayed at Karakoy Rooms for three nights prior to a cruise. We chose the hotel simply because of its proximity to the port (less than a 10 minute cab drive with traffic) but it turned out that it was close to many other attractions as well. It was an easy walk over the bridge to the... More

8 - 11 June What to say about this absolutely delightful small hotel. Our room was very spacious with a separate seating area and small balcony with a fabulous view over the Bosphorus where we were able to watch the Cruze ships come in and out. The TV and Internet provided was excellent (we bring our own laptop with a... More

The hotel in on a very good location, few minutes walk away from a tram line that serves the most important sights on the old town Sultanahmet and takes you also to the opposite side, to a funicular that goes all the way to the Taksim Square. The Galata Tower and bridge are also a walk distance away. The neighborhood... More

Our stay at Karakoy Rooms in April 2015 was fantastic. After spending previous 10 nights in small hotel rooms in Istanbul & around Turkey our 3 nights here at the end of our Turkey stay was 'heavenly'. Our room was huge (separate living area, separate dining area, good size kitchenette), modern, super clean and had everything. The location is fantastic... More

We stayed here for a week in May. The hotel has a very good location, few minutes walk away from a tram line. The Galata Tower and bridge, the Taksim Square are also a walk distance away. The neighborhood, Beyoglu, is full of restaurants and bars. The room was spacious, thoughtfully decorated and had a big bathroom. The bed was... More

Staying in Karakoy

Neighborhood Profile
Karakoy
Sitting pretty with an age-old air about it, Karakoy is situated on the European side of the Bosphorus at the mouth of the Golden Horn. Perhaps the city’s most historically significant area, it’s currently one of the most happening parts of town as well. Here street vendors and alfresco fish restaurants line the banks of the Horn where the views of major attractions across the water rival Karakoy’s own key attractions, such as the iconic 14th century Galata Tower and the Museum of Modern Art. A major hub for local and international waterborne traffic, Istanbul’s commercial and maritime heritage remains as relevant and evident as ever in Karakoy. Commuter ferries mingle with luxury cruise liners at its busy port, ensuring a continuously cosmopolitan flow of people..
