I had to be in istanbul a few days ago and as usual without even thinking of any otber hotel,i rocked up at aristocrat and was met with familiar smiling faces of malik and his team... As i always say regarding this hotel..its close to all attractions and the metro line. it feels like home away from home.. This is... More

We stayed here for five nights on our recent trip to Istanbul. The first thing I want to do is to state this hotel's strong points: 1) Its location cannot be beaten. It is about as central as you can get for the Blue Mosque, Aya Sophia and the main tourist sites. 2) The rooms are compact but relatively comfortable.... More

I have mixed feelings about giving the Aristocrat only 3 out of 5. 3.5 would be a better reflection. The location is perfect, with the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia right on your doorstep. The staff was helpful and friendly and I feel we got good value for our money. I did find that our room was a little dreary,... More

Great boutique style hotel with modern touches and updated finishings. Great rooftop terrace with nice views. Cheery breakfast room with full breakfast. There's an elevator and air conditioning. Staff were all very nice. Fabulous views from our room. The only reason I didn't give it an excellent rating is because we had mold in our shower and I'm very sensitive... More

Super little hotel with very friendly and helpful staff within yards of the Blue Mosque and many tourist shops and restaurants. Rooms are clean and the buffet breakfast is adequate. It doesn't serve food on the rooftop but that doesn't really matter.

The best part is the location. You go down and you literally need 3 min to walk to the blue mosque, 6-7 min to reach hagia sofia, nd 15 min to reach topkapi. Many restaurants nd souvenir shops are nearby. The room was exactly like the image I saw on their website and is very clean.there is a pretty common terrace.the... More

I stayed in this hotel twice while in Istanbul for one night each. The first room we had was on the top floor with a view of the Blue Mosque. The room was huge and the windows were large. There were balcony doors on two sides. The second time we had a room on the first floor which was a... More

If you choose to stay in the old district, this hotel is perfectly located. Rooms are a little tight. Buffet breakfast adequate. They work hard to please. Cleaned room exceptionally well each day. You will hear call to pray at 5am each day. Only minutes walk from Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. If I were to go back to Istanbul,... More

This hotel is located in heart of Istanbul and is only a few minutes walk from the Blue Mosque. You cannot beat the location of this hotel! Its very close to Sultanahmet tram stop which makes it very convenient when wanting to visit other areas of the city for example Galata. The views on top of the terrace are also... More

Our room was a good size huge double bed. The Manager Malic and his staff were helpful and always there to assist. The room was spotless and the staff clean the rooms everyday. Free WiFi is an added bonus. Location is great walking distance to the Blue Mosque, Hagi Sophia, Topca Palace, Cistern Basillica and the whole Sultanamet District. Range of... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
