Knowing that in the old town you mostly find small hotels, narrow escalators and small or not at all elevators, this place is a good value for money. It is in an excellent place close to main attractions, not in the best neighborhood but in the center of everything. Rooms are really small (room 102 is the only exception) but... More

First when we came in the street, we couldn`t believe ourselves... Is this our street?! It looked nothing like in pictures (it was like a very poor neighborhood)... Then we stepped in our hotel and it was so tiny! Then we got our room in the 1st floor just behind the reception table - we were like, seriously?-we wanted to... More

My wife and I had a wonderful time staying at the New Era Hotel. The location is excellent and the service was even better. Breakfast was also quite nice. Here you are walking distance to the Blue Mosque and Haga Sophia. I would definitely stay there again, and highly recommend it.

Great hotel! A wonderful experience! Right in the heart of Sultanhamet, small but clean and with a wonderful view over Bosphorus. The hotel manager is very nice and willing to help. Topkapi Palace and Aya Sofia are at a 5 minutes walking distance.

The biggest advantage of New Era hotel (couldn't be called a hotel, it's got less than ten rooms) is its location, it's five minutes away from the Blue Mosque. Its rooms are quite small, but ok. Stairs in the hotel are very steep so the place is not suitable for children. Breakfast is quite the same every day, however, the... More

Our first hotel room in Istanbul, for 2 nights relatively inexpensive and not so hard to find. Ideally located next to Kucuk Ayasofya and around 5-10 minutes of a walk (or more of a climb) to the Hippodrome/Sultanahmet Area. The owner or receptionist Omar was super helpful and very kind. The room was on the smaller side, but thankfully on... More

Definitely take the bosphorus tours offered at haggia sophia area around 35 lira 2 hrs cruise. Good intro to the city. Sabiha gocken airport is very far.... More

Spent three days here with my wife in early April 2013. Friends of ours were in another room. Pros: inexpensive (relatively); great location close to Blue Mosque (Sultan Ahmet Camii), Hagia Sophia (Aya Sofya), etc.; quiet street (car usuallu parked at one end prevents traffic); nice breakfast and breakfast room, free wifi. Cons: hard to find even though there are... More

We returned a day ago. The hotel is really small, but the location is very good and convinient. I don't blame the size of the hotel just want you to give an idea: no elevator, tiny room, small bathroom. We liked it because we didn't need much really. Breakfast is the same all mornings. Room is cleaned every day +... More
