Hotel situated 20min walk from the Blue mosque and surrounding museums. Near the Grand Bazaar. But one can find Hotels that will be on a more level grounds as there is first a 10min upward/downward slope. Taxis and vehicles have restricted access. Friendly staff. For 3 days the shower drain was blocked. Informed reception and nothing was done. Not much... More

The owners of this hotel also rent out apartments in the area and we were fortunate enough to do so. They were so incredibly attentive and responsive. When the electricity in the city went out they immediately brought us candles without us having to ask, when I needed help finding the bus station one of the guys walked me to... More

the hotel was ok, we've stayed at the top floor and the design was rather kitsch; we were afraid after reading reviews that there were issues with the cleanliness, but the cleaning lady was doing her job everyday; internet connection ok, average breakfast

Please avoid this hostel...its not even 2 star hotel. the worst hotel I've ever stayed in my life. first night we were told that the heating is not working so we had to go to some flats/apartments(unsafe, unreliable) which i can understand now from previous reviews that it happened to many other people not just us that have been scammed.... although conveniently located in terms of proximity to landmarks, the hotel is actually down a steep hill in a really rough neighbourhood. Rooms had poor hygiene - we found previous tenants trash along with soiled carpets and generally worn down furnishing. We were first housed in the annexe then the main hotel after complaining about the shower that did not... More

I really don't want to sound like a stuck up American, but I don't know if I could stay here again. I live in Brooklyn, so I've grown accustomed to the rustic feel of old buildings, but there were just some aspects to Hotel Gedik Pasa that need to be improved. First off, as others have mentioned, this place is... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at the hotel from Nov.16- Nov. 20, 2014. The rating I gave this hotel has nothing to do with the staff of the hotel, they were accommodating and pleasant. When we arrived in Istanbul we were met by a driver for the hotel. He was surprised that we were staying there. The driver's reaction should... More

Paid for a 4-Star room for 3 people. Definitely not! Our room was not part of the main hotel but the street around the corner - separate entrance. Difficult maneuvering luggage up the dangerous spiral staircases. One towel, one soap, one shampoo no conditioner for 3 people. Pillows extremely bad and no pillow cases. Beds not made. Floor filthy not... More

I booked a family room for me, my two children and husband. When we arrived we were offered two separate rooms because apparently the family room due to maintenence issues! They implied I should be grateful that I recieved two rooms, but I had paid for a family room so we could all be together, I didnt get what I... More
