We went to Istanbul as two families. My family stayed in this hotel and our friends stayed in Faik Pasha Hotels. We were both pleased to find such a place. My family really enjoy travelling and it is not easy to find a good hotel, sometimes comments may mislead you but this one is not. The hotel is not a... More

I stayed there with my foreigner friends and we were really happy to find such a place. The rooms are so comfortable and clean. The location is really good. We easily traveled in İstanbul because it is so close to Taksim square. I recommend you to stay and enjoy the hotel's peaceful environment :)

Good location- about 10 min walk from Taksim square, steep downhill on your way to the hotel. Very friendly host. The room was very clean, though slightly small. Beware though- in case you are on the second floor, there is no elevator. But the host will help you with the luggage.

I booked a reservation at this property thru Hotels.com. This was a pay at the hotel. I confirmed this with hotels.com but they sent the hotel my credit card information. instead of confirming the reservation with this they tried to charge over 500.00 to my card instead of the 80 for the room. I verified that the listing conflicts it... More

Great location, really helpful and friendly host Erdal, room on 2 floors all for £60-24 hour access 400 metres from Taksim and 700 metres from the Bosphorus & free wifi. Only small downside was the water pressure in the shower which was very weak but apart from this small thing it really was the perfect stay.

Here you can find all that you need to visit Istanbul in a weekend or in more days. The apart is always open with a good receptionist! The rooms are clean and not small. The bathroom has a big shower. 5 min from the Main Street.

Stayed there for two nights in autumn 2011. Small but very clean hotel, located in Beyoglu aera, in a seemingly safe and relatively quiet area. It is a 10'-15' minute, mainly uphill walking distance to bustling and vivid Istiklal street and Taxim square, where plenty of fine coffee, sweet shops and restaurants offer a variety of choices. Compared to "old"... More

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
