The Pros: The hotel is a cute and quaint little hotel situated in the Sultanahmet area of Istanbul. It is next to the Gülhane tram stop and a couple of blocks from the Sirkeci Mamaray Line station (to get there, just continue along the street that is in front of the hotel). Mary graciously cooks breakfast each morning with the... More

With only three days inIstanbul I wanted to be close to the majority of the tourist sites. Choosing Sultanmanet area was excellent and the Hotel was perfectly positioned. We were out and about most of the time so the smallish room didn't bother us. This is an excellent place to stay, clean, friendly and just want to make your stay... More

We have stayed three nights in this nice hotel two weeks ago. Although the triple room is small than I expected , but it is clean enough. The staffs were very friendly and helpful. They arranged the airport shuttle car for us. The hotel is in an alley near the main road but is very close to the Palace, the Hagia Sofia and... More

I have to say the room is a little bit small but it's clean and nice. Especially the location is very very closed to blue mosque, Sofia church and palace, also we walked to the bridge and grand bazaar. It's on the back of the main road so it's quiet. The breakfast is very nice and homemade by a staff.... More

Not only is Minel well placed near a tram stop and near major attractions like the Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque, but the people that own and run it are delightful, kind, and so helpful. The rooms are small but quaint, clean, and the decor is amazing! The breakfast is outstanding. I will go out of my way to stay... More

Its hard to find such a quiet spot in centre of Istanbul. Stuff is great! Really feels like they are hosting you in their own house. Not to insistent like often happens in Istanbul Restaurants, Hotels :)...

After a nice experience in august 2012, we decided to stay again at Minel Hotel in June 2014. Our decision came out to be a good one, as Maria, Fuat, Mehmet and Mehmet made our stay very enjoyable. When we arrived at the hotel, we were welcomed by Fuat, who speaks good English and is very helpful with guiding informations.... More

We stayed for 6 nights early in May 2014 and found the hotel to be ideally located for exploring the old city. We were adjacent to the tram line that runs out past the city walls and also back to the main ferry terminal. The rooms were small but clean and airy. The breakfast was delicious and varied. No elevator,... More

Great location, only a stones throw from the main attractions like Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque ect. Plenty of restaurants close by. Easy walk to the Grand Bazaar, Spice Market and Galata Bridge. Daoud and staff are very friendly and helpful and the breakfast cook is amazing. Rooms are clean and comfortable. We would definitely recommend

This hotel has the best location! It is within walking distance of everything, and what isn't within walking distance, the tram is not even a block away and very easy to take. The hotel staff was so wonderful! My sister and I checked in and the manager let us get settled then invited us down for some tea and to... More
