The apartment is very conveniently located right next to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace. If you're lucky to get the top floor flat, you will also get stunning views of the Bosphorus and a balcony with a dining table. We were three adults and a baby and the manager was very nice and kindly upgraded us to... More

We have been really lucky, we have got a nicer apartment than we booked! the view was great!! the apartment clean, comfortable and the staff very kind and helpful! they allowed to stay in the room more than they should .. location was great, close to the main interesting places in the city. I really reccomend to stay in the... More

Two friends of mine and me stayed in aura apt and it was great experience. The location is excellent,in the heart of Sultanahmed, the old part of town. Blue mosque and Aya Sophia are just 10 min walking. The receptionist was really nice, helpful and adaptable for our needs. Breakfast is not that special, but it is good to have... More

Our stay was simply perfect. We are a family of four including 2 teenagers and we stayed in the sea-view suites. I want to especially thank Aycan the manager for accommodating all our requests in a timely and professional manner, Zafar at the reception who did a fantastic job from the very start to the very end, Laila from the... Saban and his team were great. We have stayed twice with Aura Aparts and had no complaints about the accommodation. Both apartments were clean and the three bedroom is fully equipped and incredibly close to the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and Sophia Hagia. There was a slight mix up when we first arrived but it was sorted and everyone was... More

Room was very clean and staff was very helpful. Location great. A couple minutes walk to the Arasta Bizarre, and less than 5 to the Blue Mosque. Price also was one of the best in town. Only thing that was a little annoying is that we couldn't find it because there was no sign in the entrance.

We had reserved a room in a different building but owned by the same owner. He double-booked the one we had reserved, and put us up in this room for three nights. What a disappointment! Trains, barking dogs, and constant noise of people going up and down the stairs, plus the beeping from the door keypad at the entry and... More

Due to health issues we had to cancel our hotel stay. We called 3 days in advance and were told we would be charged the FULL AMOUNT for 4 nights stay! After trying to reason with them over the phone they COWARDLY never returned the call but rather sent a lousy email and then charged us the 4 nights BEFORE... More

Clean, comfortable, quiet, tastefully done. We had Rm 201 for 3 nights, my wife and myself. Has a cool little balcony looking out over the ancient wall, comfortable bed, nice bathroom, EXCELLENT breakfast included, with stunning views. My only complaint has to do with the area rather than the accommodations. It is SO touristy on the Sultanahmet side. Wow, hard... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
