We stayed at The House Hotel Bosphorus for 3 nights last weekend as we were attending a wedding in Ortakoy. This is a very comfortable and attractive hotel with wonderful views over the Bosphorus. The terraced restaurant has to be one of the most superbly located in Istanbul! Easy to feel 'at home' in this local, waterfront neighbourhood. The front... More

This hotel was recommended to us and so we decided to stay for three nights prior to our cruise. We booked a room with a Bosphorus view and that is what we got. (Room 205). I am writing this review as I'm having my breakfast on the terrence with spectacular view of the phosphorous. For travelers looking for style, view, friendly staff, quality of food and most of all, value for money, look no more! This hotel has it all. An added bonus for practicing Muslims is hearing the highly spiritual prayer call from Ortaköy... More

Lovely location on the Bosphorus, kind staff, nice place with a lively market and comfortable rooms and beds. We didn't try the restaurant but it has a amazing view on the Bosphorus and Istanbul ! just a bit noisy because there is a club next to the hotel

Staying in Sisli

Neighborhood Profile
Sisli
For much of Istanbul’s history, Sisli and the area just north of Taksim Square were open countryside used mostly as hunting grounds. These days, Sisli and its chic streets are considered the very heart of contemporary Istanbuli life, where an epicenter of fashion and a thriving business district meet to create an expressly “downtown” feel. Though largely a residential neighborhood, luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, and upscale shops abound with many of them situated inside or nearby Cevahir Istanbul, the biggest shopping mall in Europe and second biggest urban shopping mall in the world. Shopaholics and fashionistas travel from near and far to browse the area's mix of major global brand items and creations by popular Turkish designers.
