Cozy, charming rooms. Ours had wooden furniture, an antique phone, and the bathroom had a small jacuzzi in it, as well. The breakfast was varied, the outside seating area was pleasant, and most importantly, the staff was very helpful. We asked tons of questions regarding our vacation plans and they were extremely willing to make several phone calls for us... More

Comfortable suite with clean beds and nice jacuzzi bath. Staff is friendly. The rose garden is beautiful! Breakfast is adequate but could be a larger spread. Wifi can be received in the room but only two bars. Can't beat the location - within walking distance to major sights. Only one negative comment - TV has almost no English channels.

We have just got back from a wonderful stay at the Rose Garden Suites. We would like to thanks all of the staff for looking after us from the minute we arrived to the minute that we left, this morning. We arrived very early in the morning from an overnight flight into Ataturk Airport. On arrival we were offered breakfast... More

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The suite we booked was very comfortable and always kept clean. The hotel is situated close to many of the well known tourist attractions such as the blue mousque and the grand bazaar; making it the perfect location. The breakfast served had a wide variety to choose from and you could also book many... More

My girlfriend and I visited the Rose Garden Hotel from 2nd July until 09 July. Summarizing: Everything has been fantastic and very personal and friendly. The service was excellent and much better as in some Spa- or Club Resorts. Very polite and helpful staff. At the breakfast you can choice between turkish or international buffet. Considerable is that the position... More

The place was great, perfect location to visit all historical sites. Amazing breakfast, the breakfast manager was wonderful. We had to leave at 5 am for the airport and the breakfast opened the restaurant for us and made us breakfast before we left. Very helpful staff everywhere in the hotel. Big comfortable rooms, but no elevator, so if that is... More

This is a jewel of a hotel! It is wonderfully comfortable, clean, and in a great location. But more than anything, the owner and staff could not be more professional, kind, and helpful. They made our stay a real joy. They made the arrangements for us to take a day-trip to Gallipoli, and answered every question we had about Istanbul... More

4 Adults, 2 young boys. Although we had rooms on the top floor, we really were not bothered by the lack of an elevator. The staff was gracious even if they had kind of messed up about the extra beds requested for the children. All in all, good rooms, it fits the "ancient city" experience that Istanbul offers and combines... More

Went to Istanbul as a group of six for a long weekend and so wanted to be in the heart of the city to make the most of our time there. The hotel is in a great location being only a short walk from the main sights in sultanahmet, we also found it close enough to walk everywhere else (including... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
