The Rose Garden House iss a delightful gem that exceeded my expectations in every way. It is a charming historic family run hotel with 32 rooms on a small quiet street in the Old City Sultanahmet district of Istanbul. Although it is very well located within a half mile walk of many of the major historic sights it is a... More

We had the pleasure of returning to the Rose Garden after a first stay one year ago. In fact one of the reasons for our returning to central Istanbul (we have visited here many times) was the prospect of spending a few days in the seclusion of this remarkable hotel. This is definitely a quiet oasis, just a few minutes... More

We stayed for 10 nights at The Garden House in a standard double room. Our room was clean and quiet with excellent air conditioning (very welcome after a hot day out in the city). All the staff work together to make your stay pleasant and hassle free and we were known and recognised from the first day (which doesn't happen... More

This hotel is in the perfect location for all the sights. It is in a quiet street and the rooms are very comfortable with everything you might need. The breakfast was a great start to the day and the courtyard restaurant is a excellent option with a delightful staff member who sings and plays the guitar (but not all night).... More

The hotel has a warm ambience and all the staff are very friendly and helpful, even the kitchen staff are friendly and make you feel great at the start of the day! You must try the omelet too! There's also a complimentary tea time at about 4pm so its a great way to relax and refresh after a whole day... More

We stayed for a whole week at this hotel! The rooms are a very good size! We were in the garden rooms on the ground floor! It was very peaceful and quiet! The aircon in the room was good and worked very quickly! The restuarant at the hotel was very nice with live music most nights! The food was good... More

Arrived from Malaysia to Rose Garden Suites Istanbul very early in the morning and supposed to check-in at noon. The staff at the reception was kind enough to let us have the room early and we were invited to have a complimented breakfast too. With such good hospitality, we managed to get a very good rest and feel fresh again... More

We arrived at 7am and as check in was not until 12 we were given a complimentary breakfast. Both the restaurant and reception staff were smiling and eager to help navigate us to the tourist attractions. The blue mosque and Topaki palace were very close, but the hotel was in a quiet street. We ate in the restaurant once and... More

I had a couple of visits here recently. It's quite a nice hotel and worthy of its high rating. Small, quaint and boutique style. For visiting the main attractions it's very very convenient. It will only take you 5 minutes to walk to Sultanhamet which is where the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia etc are located. It's very quiet and... More

A lovely and quaint boutique hotel that has a homely and welcoming vibe. When I arrived, staff did their best to keep my room ready (despite arriving an hour before check in). When you check-in, you are also treated to a briefing by one of their staff members on sightseeing and helpful information on Istanbul. They also offer you complimentary... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
