My husband and I stayed with Turap last week while we were in Istanbul. His guest room is spacious and well appointed. Besides a very comfortable double bed there is a couch, table and chairs, BIG screen television, and computer. The room is nice and warm. Breakfast is a real treat. Turap made boiled eggs one day and an omlette... More

It's quite impossible to overstate how fabulous an experience my friend and I enjoyed over our three night stay at House of Turap. Its location on the Asian side of Istanbul offers a unique, scenic, and relatively quiet view on Istanbul without any cost of convenience, as House of Turap is a very short walk from the Uskudar port and... If you want to get away from the touristy parts of Istanbul, this is the place for you. Expect a friendly, knowledgeable, engaged host in Turap - and learn more about everyday life on the Asian side of the city. Turap was trained in tourism and worked in larger establishments on the European side but shared he likes to have... More

I stayed for six nights with Turap in November and really enjoyed his thoughtful hospitality, his comfortable, tasteful place and the Uskudar neighborhood, which is free of all the hassles of the touristed parts of city and has restaurants, shopping, and a hamam used by locals, all a 15-minute ferry ride from the European side. (And one of pleasures of... More

Found this gem on B&B world! It's difficult to find at first but when we did we very satisfied! The room was scrupulously clean, the host a complete gentleman and the location fantastic. Located on the Asian side, it's a 5 minute walk to the boat station. It's a 20 minute journey on boat to the European side but there's... More

I've been due for a review for a long time. I had a great stay here. Turap is a wonderful host with a nice apt on the Asia side of Istanbul. It's not as cheap as some crowded hostels, but it's a nice break from touristy part of the European side of the city. Turap is a wonderful host who... More

I have stayed two weeks in Istanbul. The four days I have stayed in its house is the part of my trip of which I keep the best souvenir. First Turap really does all what he can to do of your sejour a very good one. Very generous. In the area around you don't feel all the pressures of the... More

Turap is an amazing host! He is really friendly and helpful and makes a delicious breakfast. His house is clean and the room is very nice. His house is on the Asian side, away from the very touristy Sultanahmet area, which suited us very well. If I were to visit Istanbul again, I'd defintly stay at Turap again! More

We've stayed at Turap's House for a week. It was really good in the middle of predominantly non-tourist area. Location is fine - 10-15 min to boats. We used them every day to cross Bosphorus. It was amazing to live in Asian part of the city and go to European part each morning. Turap is a nice guy and a... More
