Stayed with a girlfriend for 3 nights. We had twin beds together, there was no room to separate them but it was OK. I found the room and hotel very hot and stuffy and noisy when patio door open but the location makes up for it. Shower was very good !! Only 5 minutes walk from the main square ,... More

We stayed in hotel for four days. Room was clean (there we could prepare coffee and tea). Breakfast was good for everyone (delicious for vegetarians also ). Personal was very nice. For low cost- very good location... It was pleasant.

Great location, friendly staff, clean room. The room that we had was a bit cramped but was very clean and functional. The breakfast was nothing to write home about but it was included with the already bargain price of the room! Would definitely recommend this for the budget-minded or for a quick overnight stay.

We stayed here for 3 nights and I'm really happy with the hotel. Everyday they are cleaning our room and exchanging the used towels and refilling the complimentary tea and coffee. First day we arrived at the hotel while waiting for our room to get ready they offered us the Queens size bed room with no additional cost. They gave... More

Central place to stay in Istanbul, nice personnel and very abundant breakfast. We liked it very much, I can offer it to everyone for a first visit when you want to see the old town - this place is in a walk's distance from everything. Clean and tidy.

Stayed here three nights, and loved the location. So very handy to the Hippodrome, Blue Mosque etc. Our room however was tiny and dark, with a very small window which looked out into a narrow gap between buildings (not at all like the pictures on the website). Breakfast was adequate. The staff were very helpful.

Had a fantastic few days in Istanbul staying at Hotel Perula with our three children. Even even before we arrived the staff were responsive to emails and arranged an extra bed and airport transfers. Clean and well equipped rooms, plentiful and delicious breakfast and very helpful staff. Location super too. We'd come again.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
