The staff in this hotel is very friendly and helped us out with everything. The rooms are small but clean and nicely decorated! What surprised us the most was the breakfast at the rooftop with a stunning view over the Bosphorus river. The breakfast was a large variety of bread, eggs, cornflakes, fresh fruits and sweets. Even fresh pommegranate juice... More

We were bought over by the reviews that Hotel Broken Column had a great breakfast spread and had great views of the Bosporus Sea from their Terrace and selected it because of this mainly. Breakfast The variety in the breakfast spread would be considered great, if you stay 1 night or max 2 nights at the hotel. By our third... More

Set in a pleasant street with other hotels and lots of choice of restaurants only moments from many of the main attractions in Sultanamet the location is great. The pleasant roof top terrace serves breakfast and has sea views. Friendly and helpful staff with info and advice on the city if needed. Modern well equipped rooms. We had a large... More

Small hotel in excellent old city location, within 10-15 minute walk from all major sights – Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Topkapi Palase. My room was charming and very clean with lovely décor and a comfortable bed. Every room has a name Paris, Moscow, London…, I found this very cleaver. The staff at this hotel is fantastic. They took the time... More

This is the second time I have stayed in the Sultanamet area of Istanbul, my last stay was at the Amiral Palace hotel around the corner from this one. In comparison the Hotel Broken Column was a bit cheaper, offered great customer service and comfortable clean rooms. The highlight is the roof terrace for breakfast which has a wonderful view... This was our first trip to Istanbul & it was amazing. The hotel is in an excellent location, within walking distance to the historical sites in Sultanahmet & many great restaurants. Travelling with an elderly parent, we had a few special requirements & the hotel staff were very accommodating. The reviews from fellow tripadvisors were very helpful in determining our... More

We were in this hotel from the 10th to the 16th July 2013. Perfectly located between Santa Sophia and the Blue Mosque. The hotel is clean, the staff is amazing, the size of the room is quite good. Bathroom is perfect with new appliances. Breakfast on the terrace was abundant and the view was nice. Great value for price.

Our 1st holiday in Istanbul and we loved the city :) The historical places to visit were amazing and travelling around was very easy. Although it was summer, the wind was cold enough to keep us cool all the time. After choosing several hotels in Istanbul, i chose broken column eventually. The hotel was very near to all the major...
