"Mr. Paprika is the best person of the world" this little paper in a wall tell you what you need to know when you need to find a place to go in "Stambul". Don't expect a four-star hotel, this is a hostel. However, you will find what all backpacker should be looking for: humanity. This is like a little house,... More

great location, nice people, all kind of information or help. Mr paprika can be a great host to understand Istambul and enjoy it. In the evening people always meet for a drink in the entrance so you can meet some amazing people there. A must for Istambul!!

The best thing about this hostel was indeed its location, 5 min from Taksim Square and metro station was a really great thing ! The hostel itself had good conditions, the beds were fine and shower was new and clean. The only problem for us it was really that most of the lockers were broken and we were a little... More

Planet Paprika Hostel wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. The things that they advertised such as air conditioner in the room, washing machine and lockers for your bag were broken, and the and it didn't look like the place that was in a rush to get it fixed. They also advertise that they do tours but when I got... More

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
