Overall, my stay was pretty good—the staff, room, and breakfast were all wonderful. However, noise became a pretty big issue—especially for guests not staying on the top floor. During our stay, there were kids one floor above us who kept running back and forth in the middle of the night. There were times when I was awaken by kids running... More

If you are going in for a short visit into Istanbul - 1-2 days, this hotel is a good option. Though it has its history of being an old building, the rooms are very tight for that fact, and becomes quite uncomfortable. The compromise is its location as many has commented it is walking distance to Blue Mosque and the... More

I really enjoyed my stay here, mostly due to the amazing staff, especially Ahmad. Pros: friendly and helpful staff, location near all touristic attractions, free WiFi, AC in room Cons: no elevator, noisy birds outside, almost no headroom in the room. Room size was small but enough for me.

This is the most adorable place we could have asked for. The hotel itself is 130 years old and even has the original doors. I've read people complaining about how small the rooms are - this is because this house is protected by the government and NO changes can be made. Enjoy the history - isn't that why you're in... Nice staff. NO INTERNET. Tiny room. So so amenities. Excellent location I stayed at le saffron only one night for a long layover in istanbul from Greece on my way to London. I booked the room last minute but got a rather good deal... 49E for one night seemed great. The location is also fantastic, near everything in sultanhamet. The... More

Le Safran Suite is a FANTASTIC little hotel for those on a budget. It is nearby to most of the attractions the Old City has to offer. And if its too far to walk or you just dont like walking the tram and the train is just a short walk away. The staff are fantastic and were very friendly and... More

Don't stay at this hotel if you've booked online. You end up in a cramped dungeon room, where there isn't even enough space to walk around the bed. I had to ask them to move a small table to reduce the obstacle course in the room. Needless to say the double room photos on the website didn't match what we... More

Nice hotel with a good prize. Very close to the old town. But the performance could be for sure better. The service team needs some upgrade. Breakfast can be better and there was nobody who was interested to solve any problem or ask for support. If you only need a bed - there are many cheaper places in this area!

Very cozy BB hotel, a home away from your home. Stayed at Topkapi room on 2 floor. Very clean hotel. Well placed in Sultanahmet 5 min walk to Eminonu and Marmaray station, Kapali Carsi and Sultanahmet square. You can reach hotel from Ataturk airport by metro + tram, need to change the station at Zeytinburnu and take a tram. Very... More
