I need to mention first that the stuff was too helpful and gentle. Breakfast is an average level and rooms also the same. Hotel provides basic facilities. Bathroom was quite clean and so the room. The step hill might be a problem for some older travellers. There is no elevator but the stuff will carry on all of your bags... More

It's a nice place, with the terrace and the pergola outside, the receptionists are gentle, there's only one of 4 who actually speak english, the place is quiet. they gave me a chamber in the 4th floor while there was empty ones in the 2nd and 3rd,

First impression difficult to reach b'cos of steep hill. But arrived at the comfortable, clean, spacious apartment with basic facilities & good heating system( reasonable rate); plus with good hospitality from Fuat & all the staff. With the staff assistance, our stay was adventurous, challenging & upclose & personal with Turkish people, culture, cuisine & environment. Great location, within vicinity... More

Good location near Blue Mosque. Fuat was helpful, returned emails and arranged arriver to pick us up at airport after long international flight. With no lift & narrow spiral staircase, we requested lower floor. Sinan was helpful and carried bags to 1st floor double room and up steep hill to catch our lift to train station at end of 4... İ am not a capricious person, nor my husband. We always try to find budgeted hotels during our vacations. But this hotel was our worst experience ever. Customer service is very very low. The first day of our visit we asked to clean the room every day,but it was annoying to see only one small towel for two of us every... More

We stayed there for a night transit in Istanbul. We arrived in the evening. It's a budget hotel, with a reasonable distance to trem stop: Cemberlitas. The way from the trem stop to the hotel is quite challenging. It's steeply downhill and stoney. It's a quite good pivot place to go around the tourist area in the old town. It's... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
