Called first to ask if I could check in early. Emailed directions to a location --- Was not #26. They must have various properties. Wound up some other place on a street which looked like it would be be spooky for a woman alone coming back after dinner. No one on premises at night. Narrow 3 story building. No exterior... More

Do not book this hotel! This hotel no longer functions! I just came back from Istanbul and I was forced to stay in a different hotel. The hotel is now Sefa Hotel and the room I received did not have a windowa and was so small that two people could not stand in it. The new owners use Vica Guest... More

Vica Guest House is, indeed, a guest house (6 rooms?). But it's clean and safe. Our room was on the top floor and the only complaint I have is the bathroom- really small and there was a weird smell to the water (although I think that's Istanbul's issue, not Vica Guest House's). It's in a GREAT location- 5 minutes from... More

Other than the AMAZING LOCATION and DELICIOUS RESTAURANT (not on premis) -- the hotel is basic and simple. My television didn’t work upon arrival but it was quickly fixed. The cable had a few English speaking channels and the in room internet was a plus. (The restaurant has wi-fi as well.) Overall, if you’re a history junkie (like me) and... More

After a 9 hour flight from Toronto, and traveling with my 4 year old daughter & husband, I was delighted and relieved to be greeted by such a friendly and helpful staff (albeit not much English spoken.)  The room was neat, small and comfortable. During our 10 day stay, every concern/issue we had was quickly rectified.  Example, our leaky shower... More

When we arrived at the hotel for check-in they immediately requested full payment for all 4 nights prior to seeing rooms. They wanted cash, and luckily I only had limited cash and thus paid with credit card. The entire procedure was already sketchy. Since Vica guesthouse had no rooms available we were shown to a room in "Vicapalace" or "Fatima... More

This guesthouse is not at all as described on its own website or various hotel booking sites. Our rooms were very cramped and even though we booked two rooms as a family, we were two floors apart, and the bathrooms were basic and extremely tiny. The biggest disappointment was that the promised roof top terrace is non-existent, and we were... More

Full disclosure: I never stayed at this hotel. Not because I didn't want to, I booked 3 nights through Venere and the reviews and the price could not be beat. But when I arrived there, at 5 pm the night of May 29, there was no one staffing the reception. I waited for OVER AN HOUR for the staff to... More

We deeply cherish our guest & customers and would like to take the time to address your concerns: CHECK IN -- We offer 24/7 check-in and the front office is always staffed between 8-5. Afterward a night receptionist takes over. Unfortunately your arrival coincided with a "no-show" employee. We are a small establishment (only 7 rooms) with a skeleton staff... More
