Boutique hotel, excellent location between the old area of the city and the new. Walking distance to the Bazar, Galata Tower, beygulu. Located on a nice promenade just near the water. I recomend the Sea View rooms where you have an amazing view of the Golden Horn and the Old City. The rooms are big, beautifully furnished and very clean.... More

Our stay at Hettie Hotel was really wonderful. The staff were extremely friendly, informative and helpful. Mr. Mohammad even brought me baklava and ice cream ( with a candle ) for my birthday! He and the rest of the staff really made our stay special. The room was beautiful and had an amazing view of the Bosphorus . We slept with... More

This hotel is unbeatable for value, location and friendly and helpful staff. Our third floor room faced the water and we were mesmerised by the ferries and their incredible abilities to miss each other. The lady hotel manager was the best we have met in Europe. All staff were fab especially the breakfast lady and her partner who treated us... More

Okay, I get it, many Europeans don't have air conditioning, and they don't put much ice in drinks, however, if you advertise air conditioning, then make sure it puts out cool air. The location of the hotel is great, staff is wonderful, but evasive when it comes to getting a system that cools a room. This hotel is dated and... More

This was a one night stand between departing a cruise ship and heading off to Europe. The warmth of the welcome and feeling of being comfortable in a strange city and culture was achieved by the staff. Our room was full of interesting interior decorations that had style and panash! We will be back one day!

Location is very convenient. Just a minute from tram station. Plenty of good restaurants around. Perfect view to Bosporus. Hotel stuff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and hopefully will come back next time.

Third stay at Hettie, I never tire of the view over the Bosphorous, the constant comings and goings at the ferry terminal, the simit and fruit sellers. The staff have changed since my last visit but are still friendly and helpful. Breakfast is still good. You get get fresh fish at the local restaurants, or the fish market just under... More

Just a bit noisy early morning because of the ships - otherwise you get value for money just where you need it. The staff is really helpful and their advice will definitely help. The bathroom (the shower cabin) is a bit worn out - still ok though. We will book this place when we go to Istambul next time.

Friendly staff, simple decor out of an IKEA catalogue, but the true star here is the location. There's none better for a hotel in this city. A room at the front of the hotel is a must for the fabulous vista across the Golden Horn to the old city. We spent hours sitting in front of the windows watching the... More
