We stayed there for 4 nights in May. Unfortunately they are currently renovating the hotel so it was a bit noisy from time to time and the whole building covered with sort of a mantle. But therefore our room was new and already renovated. Furniture and interior is nice, bathroom and bedroom are of a good size - I loved... More

Great place to stay centrally located to all the great site, surrounded by eateries thru out. Hotel staff could use a little more English speaking staff, but it a challenge which makes it all more fun. The corner suit overlooking the city is great. Morning breakfast is enough to get you started for the day of site seeing. Would I... More

This is the worst hotel we've ever stayed in. Arriving in our room everything seemed alright, but that impression only lasted until the spray that had been used to cover the urinal smell from the bathroom had faded. Bringing this to the attention of the hotel management resulted in the cleaning lady arriving to give the room a new treatment... More

Palazzo Donizetti is an ancient and very elegant premises inthe heart of Taksim borough. Furnishing is stilish and amenities high. Great breakfast buffet and major personnel courtesy can make a stay memorable!

This hotel is considered as a 5 star hotel and is situated at steps away of the Istiklal Avenue which is the new touristic avenue of Istanbul. We stayed there 6 days. First of all, I have to say that we are not the type of clients asking for extras all the time in a hotel. We tend to be... More

Absolutely fantastic, comfortable room, perfect breakfast, excellent staff. Nothing less. Hotel is located center of Pera Beyoğlu, next street is a very famous called Asmalı Mescit, İstiklal avenue and Galata Tower very close. You can easily breath to İstanbul.

This hotel is in a very convenient location, one road away from the busy main shopping street in Beyoglu and only a 15 minute walk over the river to the bustling Blue Mosque area, so you don't really need to use public transport unless you struggle with hills! The building is old and full of character with a very welcome... More

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
