I was in Istanbul in June 2015 and I had some wonderful days in this magnificent city. The Next2 Hotel is great located next to the Taksim but in a quiet side street. The hotel is very charming and recently renovated, our room was clean and spacious. All the staff was very friendly, attentive and helpful. I will come back... More

This hotel is set in a great location just 2 mins from istiklal street. It has recently been renovated , the rooms are clean and a really good size. Nice new bathrooms and the breakfast has lots of choice. The view from the terrace is amazing as you can see topkapi palace ,galata tower the bosphorus and many other sites.... More

This hotel was a great find for my first visit to Istanbul. It's right in the centre of one of the most historic parts of the European side of Istanbul, close to Taksim Square and the main shopping street - Istiklal Caddesi. I walked to the old side of the city for sightseeing and caught the tram back easily. The... More

Despite of initially I got a bit afraid of the location at the very beginning, the hotel I a must to stay. At first I came really tired from the airport coming from Bahrein. I was received by Tolga (I hope in the right name, a guy with a nice earing in the left side). So charmimg, special, willing to... More

This is one boutique hotel I'd recommend everyone to check for their stay in Istanbul. - Off Istiklal street, it's convenient location makes it easy to reach any part of the city. - Metro station is 10 mins walk from the hotel, taxis are easy to find. - The hotel has large spacious rooms with modern amenities and furnishings. -... nestled in a bylane near the police station, so safety is taken care of, this is so beautifullly located that you can have the peace and quiet of a quaint hotel and still round the corner and enter the busiest area of Istanbul; Taksim and Istaklal street. The staff specially Tolga is a really sweet helpful genuinely good natured man.... More

Next2 is a tiny hotel tucked away in a back street in Beyoglu. It is a narrow row house, with five stories but only two rooms on each. The rooms are quite spartan in appearance, but are big and well equipped with the usual mod cons. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast on the top floor was very... More

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
