My boyfriend and I booked at the Sirma Sultan Hotel for a 4 night stay on our first trip to Istanbul. We arrived late and were escorted to our room which was located in another building around the corner from the hotel. The room was dirty, poorly ventilated and clearly not as described online or in the photos. We requested... More

The hotel's been near to Istambul's famous monument. The staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was tasty. The bathroom's been moldy and didn't have warm water warm water in the evening. Hasn't been any glass in the room.

We were brought to a basement room when we check in. The first thing that shocked me was the smell of the room That was so bad. We changed to another room the other day it smells the same. Then the room isn't clean enough and the furnitures are very poor. Plus the noise comes from the next door which... More

We have booked for 3 nights from Feb 13 for two double rooms with booking.com. Upon check in, we paid in full and told them that we sleeping out for the first night since we are travelling to Izmir. Since it was before 2pm they gave us one room for changing. When we left at 4pm they removed our bags... More

The hotel over books rooms & I was placed in an alternate hotel down the road. There was mould all over the bathroom walls & ceiling of this other location. It was a very unpleasant night. I did finally get another room which was much better. The staff - in particular Roberto - was disrespectful & condescending.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. The room, although dark, was very comfortable. The bathrooms were great and the breakfast very nice. Location was excellent, very close to amazing Istanbul sights such as Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. A word of warning: google maps seems to lead you to the wrong location when you type it in so... More

A very bad smell coming from the bathroom! The price is not compatible with the service. Breakfast is ok but the premises are not clean! Disastrous experience with the bus !! Watch out !!! We paid the manager of the hotel to take the bus to the airport, but the driver asked us for more money! Be careful! The air... More

This hotel proclaims itself to be 3-star. Unless you count the ebullient bonhomie of the owner and the free bottled water as deserving a star all to themselves, it isn't. The basement rooms are damp, dank and drain. The furnishings are tired and shabby, loaded with the lingering smell of cigarettes smoked many moons ago. The air conditioning is underpowered,... More

When we were first greeted by Roberto in the street outside the hotel, we knew that we had picked the right place to stay. Roberto is one of life's characters and makes you feel very welcome. We booked online and got a cheap rate, so our room was in the basement and was very small. That said, the room was... More
