This hotel proclaims itself to be 3-star. Unless you count the ebullient bonhomie of the owner and the free bottled water as deserving a star all to themselves, it isn't. The basement rooms are damp, dank and drain. The furnishings are tired and shabby, loaded with the lingering smell of cigarettes smoked many moons ago. The air conditioning is underpowered,... More

When we were first greeted by Roberto in the street outside the hotel, we knew that we had picked the right place to stay. Roberto is one of life's characters and makes you feel very welcome. We booked online and got a cheap rate, so our room was in the basement and was very small. That said, the room was... More

Biggest advantage of the hotel is its excellent location. Room was avarage, it was situated on the ground floor, close to the reception, which affected the sleeping quality (lot of noise even at night). Room was humid, ventilation was not solved. Bathroom was rather poor, had the same problems as the room. Service at the hotel was fine, breakfast was... More

The first room they gave us was absolutely terrible, in the basement, overlooking a wall. Not to talk about how old and rusty everything was inside, dirty, with a lot of moist in the room. We changed rooms and the second room was a little better, but again dirty, overlooking a wall, moist, and close to the reception with constant... More

Stayed here for 10 nights in February. On our first night we were put in a room which wasn't even in the hotel but around the corner in an apartment type building. The room had a funny smell & was absolutely freezing cold- discovered in the morning that this was because there was no window, just a net curtain covering... More

I stayed at the Sirma Sultan Hotel for 2 nights at the beginning of March. It was my second time visiting Istanbul. The hotel was clean, comfortable bed and staff extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the morning is the usual Turkish style breakfast, fresh bread, meats, cereals and salad, perfect to set you up for the morning. The hotel... More
