Good place in the center of the city with great staff! Five minutes walk from hotel to the Gulhane Park, Sultanahmet Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Sirkeci station. There are lot of shops and restaurants for you! You can easily go with tram( behind the hotel) to the Dolmabahce, Eminonu, Galata bridge!

Location is great, echoing other reviewers, and nothing else is. The room was so tiny that we couldn't even open our suitcases. The air conditioner broke down TWICE (once each day/night, in the middle of August!) and the second time around we were handed a fan. Front desk did not take responsibility of the second time air con broke, saying... More

I have stayed at this hotel previously and my stay this year was equally as good as before. Central location, providing easy walking access to all tourist attractions such as numerous restaurants, the bustling ferry port, Ayia Sofia and Blue Mosque area, Bazaars, Topkapi and other museums, and Gulhane park. Wide choice of breakfast items, served in restaurant with superb... More

We stay 2 nights. The boys were nice and the room clean. But the door was broken, so we asked for another room and they changed it. The breakfast (simple, without coffe) was the same for two days. We spent just enough sleep. Is a problem if you go by car for not having parking and private parking is far... More

Booked via Hotels.com for 55 euros a night. Firstly, this hotel was difficult to find. Some signage on Hudavendigar st would have helped...after 15 minutes of walking in circles with my suitcase, finally reached the hotel, which is located on a small cross street.Location is excellent for those wanting to walk to all attractions in the old town and want... 5mins walk to spice bazaar, where sells alot of goods at lower prices compared to grand bazaar. 10mins walk to topkapi palace and blue mosque. A lot of restaurants and minimarkets nearby. Souvenirs shops as well. 500mtrs to nearest tram stations. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable and value for money

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
