Basically this is a 2 star hotel, with a 2 star price (for istanbul), so for the most part you get what you pay for. It's important to manage your expectation - with such glowing reviews on trip advisor, you may end up being disappointed. Pros: -Central location - walking distance to key attractions and tram. A good local restaurant on the corner -Good size room (for the price) -Clean -Quiet at night -Accommodating staff -Breakfast basic but fresh & plentiful Cons: -Poor bathroom - very small, the shower leaked, there was mould under the shower door which provided a bad smell. -No blankets on the bed or in the room at all. Aircon/heating was ok but def not great (which is why you may want blankets). To be fair we didn't ask at reception for blankets, I'm sure they would have provided them on request. -pretty flimsy lock on the door, though the building does feel safe at night otherwise. Overall the bathroom let it down for us (we were in a triple room on the 2nd floor, possibly the others are better?) plus our expectations were probably too high. If you're looking for a budget option and are not particular about your bathroom, this hotel will work well for you.

It is so convenient for the main attractions of Sultanhamet, just 5 mins walk and almost next door to the older mini HAgi Sophia mosque. A decent breakfast provided with a lovely view in summer. The breakfast would cost 15 lire Just up the road. The facilities are very clean and the manager , Imray , Was always there to assist us with a smile and a joke. The rooms are excellent for the price which should be kept in mind. Comfortable beds and pillows. Recommended as a budget hotel. Would book again.

I stayed in a dorm room and it is very comfortable and makes me feel like home. The staff are really helpful and friendly. Breakfast food was nice, the view overlooking the sea is perfect. Manage to catch a perfect sunset from the rooftop too.

We were there 3 weeks before.. it was a bit chilly in istanbul but the guest house is no doubt super clean plus it is 3 - 4 minutes away from main attractions like blue mosque, hagia sophia etc. we always go for dinner to a restaurant which was right downstairs to the guest house,, loved the food and hospitality. i am thankful to violetta and yaseen who gave us warm welcome and co-operated nicely. so i would recommend this place to my friends and also want to go again.

This is a pretty good hotel, especially for what you're paying for. I actually stayed here 2 nights. The first room was a bit below my expectations since the shower did not drain properly, so I had to run it off and wait for the water to drain. But other than that, the room was spacious and clean. The second night I stayed we were in a different room and had to go many flights up the stairs. Definitely not a hotel for the handicapped or disabled. The room was better, but the water in the shower wasn't as hot as I would have liked. I guess you can't have it all here, but you do get what you pay for. And it was still worth it, in my opinion. The best part about this hotel is the service. Violetta and Yesse ran the front desk and were very friendly and helpful. They left me with a good impression of this place, despite the shower issues. The location is perfect for Old City Sultanahmet and right behind the Blue Mosque. It's only a couple minute walk from the Hippodrome and a 9 minute walk to the Sultanahmet Tramway Station. The Wi-Fi and breakfast was free, so that was nice also. They provide you with cereals, European ham, cheeses, bread, and olives, the typical Turkish breakfast, alongside tea or coffee. I would stay here again when I go back to Istanbul.

The hotel is in a great location, its very close to Sultanahmet maybe 10 min walk and have good connections to the city and lots restaurants. Let me tell you about my stay here. - The breakfast was nice which is typical Turkish breakfast on a terrace, but is very cold during winter. - The walls of our hotel room were very mouldy I understand its a very old building but more should be done to prevent mould and all the walls were peeling! overall the cleaners do a great job at cleaning the hotel but essential maintenance should not be neglected in a hotel. - I like fact room has air con, large windows, and comfy bed. What I did not like was the staff emailing me two days before asking me If I wanted an Airport Shuttle Bus from airport for €30 each way! when if you take public transport it will be about 8 euro. So I didn't take their offer of shuttle bus. Walking around the streets of where the hotel was I found an Airport Shuttle Service shop and its €10 each way to the airport the same company the hotel was advertising, so the hotel con you and make a €20 profit for their pockets unfair. On the last night the older man in reception, asked if we needed Shuttle Service in early morning I declined and said no, I have already booked the Shuttle Service and his face changed and looked so angry the atmosphere immediately change and began muttering bad words in Turkish, I felt very tense, a customer should not be made to feel like that!! Other staff in the hotel are so friendly and go out of their way for you, but I was not impressed by this last moments of staying at this hotel, they try con you! Would not stay again because of this behaviour.

If I come bsack to Istanbul I wuld stay here again. It's a 5 minute walk from the Blue Mosque with several stores and good restaurants nearby. Our room seemed recently remodelled, and it was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful, and arranged a shuttle to SAW airport. A great budget hotel.
