Some of the images on the various booking sites give you the impression of a much bigger and more professionally-operated hotel. So I expected a bit more myself than a hole-in-the-wall, but we were happy with our stay and had no complaints. The room was clean, the AC functional, and the breakfast on the roof top was adequate. The view... More

Hotel has good size rooms for a family of four. Breakfast is included. Its in part of town where all landmarks are within walking distance and so is the metro. Hotel staff is very helpful and courteous.

Recently spent 3 nights here with my wife - it's in a great neighbourhood, lots of shops and restaurants, lots of great places to go within walking distance. The breakfasts on the terrace were spectacular with an amazing view out over the city. Unfortunately I left my camera in the room when I was checking out, and the staff could... More

This hotel is 15 minutes walk the the Blue Mosque, 10 minute walk to the Grand Bazar, and 5 minute walk to the Hagi Sofia. Couldn't have asked for a better location. The man at the desk, Omar, was very nice and was willing to help us with whatever plan we came up with. We only stayed two days but... More

Between 3 and 4 stars. We came here for two nights based on the spectacular reviews. It's fine. That's pretty much it. The location is good. The conceirge/front desk was kind and nice. No one talked to us at breakfast. It's fine. Adequate. I appreciated the front desk didn't try to sell us a bunch of tours we didn't want.... More

Stayed at Noah's Ark for two weeks. Loved the location. You could get around pretty easily from the Sultanahmet neighborhood. Hotel is on a quiet street. It is very clean. Has a lovely breakfast terrace with a view of both the Aya Sophia and the Blue Mosque and parts of the city as well. Breakfast was the typical Turkish breakfast.... More

We visited Istanbul on 9th June and stayed here for 4 nights. (Sanjay Gupta and family). The hotel was very well located and everything was just a walking distance. The staff made it even better, they were courteous and friendly. They guided us really well throughout. Special mention to Omar who was extremely nice to us. Will recommend this place... More

We spent two weeks at Noah's Ark. It's in a quiet street just off the main drag in Sultanhamet, a block to the tram. Our room was not spacious but very clean and quiet. The staff is very friendly and helpful and quick to resolve any small problems. The breakfasts on the terrace were excellent. Books through their website and... More

Quaint boutique hotel 10 min walks to most of the important land marks. It was great to be able to retreat from the January cold quickly to our hotel. It was abnormally cold this year according to locals. The staff was great and accommodating and provided us with many tips like, where to get the best turkish delight. the rooms... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
