We stayed at Millennium Suites for 2 nights at the end of a trip to the area and had a great stay. The staff was always helpful, the room comfortable, everything was great. We did not try the breakfast because we had plans outside the hotel but everyone seemed to enjoy it. We had visited the large sites on a... More

We arrived at the hotel and were met by the owner who sat us outside with a complimentary drink as we soaked in the Istanbul street scene. the hotel is perfectly situated within 5 minutes walk of the major mosques and oozed character. after a couple of drinks the manager informed us that due to some local authority issues, they... I warned my daughter that the online photos of the hotels never match the actual room, but I was wrong. The rooms were even more elegant, spacious and comfortable than I could have imagined. By far, this was the best of our three hotels on our European vacation. Better yet, the management is not happy until you are delighted. I... More

All the excellent reviews in Trip Adviser are true, this is a great hotel. The pre-arrival advise by email was very helpful in planning our visit. They even had museum cards waiting for us plus arranged a guide for one day. It is a small hotel located in the old part of Istanbul with very nice rooms. There are many... More

We have arrived back in South Africa feeling like we have a family in Istanbul at the Millennium Suites! From the moment we arrived there we were greeted with huge, genuine smiles and were treated like royalty for the rest of our stay. The manager, Celal, and his staff were quite amazing---nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was delicious, with... More

We loved our three day stay here. The other reviews capture it well. Delightful and welcoming staff. Perfect location. Very comfortable rooms and great breakfast. We couldn't have asked for more. And terrific with our kids (4 and 10) as well.

We stayed at Millennium Suites for 3 nights during our first visit to Istanbul & were treated like cherished friends. Celal & his staff were outstanding! When you arrive refreshments are offered & you are given a map & orientation to the old city. Cengiz walked with us to a seaside restaurant to make sure we wouldn't get lost &... More

A great location in Sultemhamet. 5 - 10 minute walk to Blue Mosque. Tookapi Palace. Haggai Sophia and Basilica Cistern. We were in room 302 with a king bed and modern walk in shower. In room refrigerator with beverages and bottled water. They recommend drinking bottled water and provided as needed or requested. We were on the street side and... More

From the moment we arrived in Istanbul to the moment we departed Celal and his team made us feel welcome. The arranged pick up from our ship to hotel was seamless and once arrived we were greeted with coffee and breakfast and provided with helpful information and answers. Unbeknownst to us the team had been hard at work during this... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
