The hotel is located very close to the most important tourist attractions of Istanbul. Although it looks like a small hotel, the rooms are large and bright. It is clean and the staff is very kind, friendly and welcoming. Here the world smiles and emanates an overflowing state of well-being! We will definitely be back here! Thank you!🙏

Boy or boy what a place, I was at this hotel for 3 nights small place 5* service, close to everything, likes of bazaar, blue mosque, museum, food etc etc paid very less for the quality. Only bad thing is keep your wife's and young girls away from next door pervert at the shisha bar. Thank you staffs and owner Mohammed for making us feel like family. Dont hesitate to stay at this hotel just book it without any fear.

I do not recommend this hotel! I had booked a room one month prior to the trip through the booking system. Received the confirmation, everything was good, but few days till the trip they cancelled the booking motivating that the card is not valid. I have checked with the bank and even other reservations have been done so everything was okay with the card. So I did not understood why hotel did so till I checked the reservation system and had seen that the price for my room rose from 145 eur to 1550 eur for the same period of time. Hotel specifically canceled my reservation to raise the price. Booking system gave the compensation, but they also said that they have no power to stop this some times occuring practice. This hotel is a SCAM!!!

My wife and I had to keep our daughter and grandson company for one night. The Bellman, Halit Uğur, was outstanding. He has a wonderful service orientation. He is an excellent host. He is continuously searching for how he can help you more and better. Especially the right attitude with our 18 month grandson and more so in helping me to get to a nearby Friday prayer Masjid. He even found me a hotel employee (actually two from the hotel, I am sorry I forgot the names, whom I wish to thank) who would take me and bring me back from the Arab Masjid. Thank you very much Halit. I’m sure your future in the service industry is guaranteed with your great approach and character.

I am an Accor silver card holder so I always try to stay in a hotel belonging to this chain. We arrived tired and late, the reception staff hardly spoke English and took for ever to register us and give us a key. I tendered my Amex card to guarantee the room charges but they declined my card as they did not want Amex. They asked me to pay the whole stay (4nights) in advance!!! Never had this request before. I ended up paying cash!! We eventually got to room 2017. The room was dusty with big stains on the sofa and carpet and when we opened the shutters we had a view of a totally destroyed building like in a war zone to look at. The room was certainly not 30sq m2 as promised on the booking. So disappointed we went to have our welcome drink. We chose two glasses of white wine and when the glasses came they were the smallest ever!! Well thanks God for the food and Beverage Manager Mr Gergonūl who looked after us very well. We then went back to reception and asked to change rooms. We were given room 1404 which was even smaller but at least with a normal view. The cupboard was small, with no drawers or shelves. The housekeeper came in one day without announcing herself, just opened the door and walked in. I could go on as the gym is so small and one of the treadmills was not working! The spa is nice but the treatments offered are far from refined. The only positive thing was the position of the hotel as quite close to places of interest. Finally a big thank you to Nimet in housekeeping for finding my jumper and bringing it back to me in the room.

We have arrived unexpectedly at the Galata Istanbul Hotel with two children. They only had a family room for us, which was just refurbished. Unfortunately because of that, the room was dusty. They cleaned it the next morning. The family room is spacious and has two bathrooms. Because the room was just refurbished not everything (tv for example) was not working yet and not all furniture was replaced, but it was not a big issue, Cleaning could be better. The staff is friendly. No idea about the breakfast as we didn't take it. The hotel is on a 3 minute walking distance from Sirkeci tram AND train station.

Galata is probably the best hotel to stay at if you are looking to explore Sultanahmet considering it is RIGHT there by the Blue Mosque and Haga Sophia; the location was fantastic. It also is located next to a bustling street full of shops, boutique stores and leather shops; lovely! The hotel in itself is really just a case of what you see is what you get. At 25 Euros a night you get a small room with a good shower, breakfast in the morning & friendly staff. The linen isn't exactly clean and the television doesn't show any of the channels that you would want to watch but if you are a solo traveler or a young couple and you'll be spending the bulk of the day exploring; this hotel is just perfect to sleep at. They have a small hookah lounge + juice bar downstairs which is a good touch. For the price i paid; the breakfast was actually really good. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for someone who is looking for luxury or ultimate comfort. You would be better off spending some more money and booking somewhere else rather than down rating this hotel. Thank you
