Stayed for 5 days with family in DTBH old town Istanbul. Location is excellent with most old town sites at walking distance - grand bazar, blue mosque, aya sophiya. Hotel staff is good and courteous. Rooms are decent and clean, though average size. 2 problems though - some rooms don't get direct sunlight. Second problem is the bathroom; they are... More

Being located in the heart of Istanbul, DoubleTree by Hilton Old Town has proved to be the best choice for our short vacation. Close to Sultanahmet, we managed to visit all the touristic sights in 5 days. The room was clean, the boys from the Reception and the Concierge man were always helpful and the food served at breakfast was... More

The simple fact that Double Tree IS in Old Town, the location bumps it up a notch. Nothing spectacular, rooms are small, modern, clean and staff is very attentive. Free and reliable internet is a plus and the breakfast is a nice mix of traditional and local cuisines with a large selection of freshly prepared items that are changed every... More

Greeted with a cookie on arrival, followed by complimentary bottled water daily, a nice touch. Our room was ok, but certainly not 5 stars by European standards. However the Hotel is perfectly located for viusits to the Old Town, with the Grand Bazaar, Sultanahmet (Blue Mosque), Hagia Sophia & Topkapi Palace, within comfortable walking distance. The Tram is only a... More

Well, my title pretty much sums it up. My room (a deluxe something or other king room) was on the corner (room 301) and it was quite spacious and comfortable. Nice, well-appointed bathroom with a walk-in shower. Everything was spotlessly clean, both in the room, in the hallways, the lobby and the restaurant, where I ate breakfast each morning (it... More

I had a deluxe king room with a balcony, but the view was awful of a rundown old house, next time would save the money. The room was very comfortable and the bed amazing. The room service was affordable and tastey. My main disappointment was the cost of the wifi, very expensive when it should be free!

The only complaint with the hotel is the crammy room and the absolute zero view it offered. We shifted two room s and on both occasion, we had to face the opposite room from our window. The location is excellent. With the tram station right opposite and all the monumnets in SultanAhmed in walking distance.

This hotel is very well located. 5 mins walk to the grand bazaar and 12 mins walk to Sultanahmet and all the sites. The hotel is exceptionally clean. The room was very comfortable. The staff are very good. The terrace bar is good for pre and post dinner drinks. We did not eat at the hotel so cannot comment. The... More

The hotel is right at the middle of midtown, which makes it perfect for tourists because the Bazar and the 2 most famous mosques are very close. You don't even need a car in order to get to those places and this makes the hotel's location perfect. The rooms are quite big and the decoration is nice. You also have... More
