Very small standard rooms, So dark and without any view, even alley. The room badly smells and I coudn't take a shower (approximately 40 cm width of bath room). The restaurant at 8th floor has a wonderful view

The City Center Hotel is a small hotel, in the centre of Istanbul. The hotel couldn't find my reservation. I kept insisting I had one & after about 30mins they found it, under my name exactly as I had given them. I arrived late at night, the kitchen was closed & there is no room service. My room was very... More

I have visited this marvelous hotel with my two daughters and we have wonderful stay. The staff are very helpful and friendly. It's a 4 star hotel in the heart of Istanbul near everything. I will inshallah come back to this hotel again and again. They have marvelous terrace with breathtaking view. Thank you for your hospitality. Perfect wifi.

They've told us that this is a 4-stars hotel, but this is truly more like a 2 or 3-stars hotel. The rooms are tiny, literally. There's barely any space between twin beds. The AC is non efficient and it was really hot inside. A couple of good things about it; the excellent location near city center, and the great view... More

First of all, the room was small and it was really difficult to communicate with the staff in English. Moreover, we experimented difficulties with the assignation of the rooms even having booked and paid them. The good things are the location of the hotel, the panoramic restaurant and the courtesy of the staff in spite of the language.

This hotel is one of the worst I,ve been in Istanbul, even though I am travelling there every month. Firstly, rooms are so small that it is impossible to open your luggage, only on the bed you have space to open it. About the staff, boys at reception are nice, but not the girls, which were very unhelpful and didn,t... More

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
