Loved my stay at Seven Dreams! Couldn't have asked for a more perfect location, just minutes from all the old city attractions. During the evenings you'll be able to faintly hear the whirling dervish music being performed a few blocks down from the room and be glad you opted in for such a culturally immersive experience. Breakfast at Seven Hills... More

Don't bother looking any further for your Istanbul hotel—especially if you're keen on staying in the old city. This joint is smack in the middle of the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, has comfortable rooms, unbeatable views, and the most helpful hotel staff we experienced in our two weeks in Turkey. Pricing is extremely reasonable (especially considering we're talking... More

I stayed in the hotel for a day in January - I arrived early in the morning and left in the evening. Located very centrally in one of the old houses, the hotel is good for cheap and comfortable accommodation. It is not grand but covers all basics. The room was big and the bed was really comfortable. The bathroom might... More

Very central so that was a great start. When we arrived we didn't think much as the external parts of the building was old but our rooms were all new, same as bathroom it was a double shower, it was fantastic. Breakfast was actually at another hotel that was like 2 doors down but fantastic. Views were great.

Very good location - close to the most attractions in Sultanahmet, friendly personal, healthy breakfast on the roof with the view on Bosporus and Aya Sofia - we got just positive emotions from staing here. An of course - highly recommended.

I stayed here for two nights with my wife and son in the top floor suite. Check in was prompt and the staff very helpful to what we needed. The room was spacious and the bed really comfortable, with everything we needed. Mini bar had drinks and water which was nice. Amazing view of the hagia Sofia from the roof... More

A nice stay in the middle of the ancient buildings. It was a pleasure to stay here. The bed was big, the shower as well, and the bath tub wonderful. As the rooftop restaurant was in renovation we were guided to the seven hills hotel, just 50m away. There breakfast was good and the views stunning. They claim to have... More

This hotel is close to all the sites. The mini bar consisted of a couple sodas, two bottles of water (still and sparkling), small ice tray. It was not restocked during our 4 might stay. They helped arrange a ride from the airport and we booked our own ride on the way out. The pictures on this site are accurate.... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
