We were completely new at finding our way through Istanbul. On foot as night fell, local restaurant and store owners helped us find the hotel down the hilly cobblestones. Similarly, we found our way uphill to tour Sultanahmet over the next few days, using maps provided by the hotel. Staff assisted us with a variety of requests. Room was very... More

I was a bit taken back by the room we were given, very small, and the hardest bed I have ever slept on. The worst part was the nights since it was so loud due to the street traffic and people. It was very hard to sleep. As this was such a poor choice my wife wanted to return home... More

We booked through hotels.com. Ended up with the basement room. No bed bugs, but felt a bit like a dungeon. Cleanliness was poor, found old hair in the shower drain. Noise from the street was very loud, kept us up some nights. Area is convenient to main attractions, but be prepared to walk up hill. Breakfast was good one day... More

Before we found the place we got lost for a while because every people we ask doesn't know how to speak English though we have the exact address they don't really know where the hotel is located. We later foun out it's somewhere down the road from Blue Mosque. The moment we checked-in we're glad that the receptionist knows a... More

Nice little hotel on a cute little street leading to the Hippodrome and Hagia Sofia , some 10 min walk. A bit far from the tramway, but its downhill . Walking distance to the Bazaar and the Hagia Sofia . Theres no lift so ask for first floor, as climbing to 3rd is a bit tough with luggage. Magnificent view... More

Stayed at this hotel for 10 days and must say haven't had any problems whatsoever. The staff and management are very helpful and welcoming and even though many can't speak very good English, they tried their best to answer any of my queries. The rooms are clean and tidy and I think it is very good value for money accommodation.... More

The hotel is located within walking distance of almost all the historic places such as the Blue Mosque, Hegha Sophia, Top Copy PLace etc. The hotel provides neat n cozy atmosphere. The management is very friendly.

We only stayed one night in this little hotel in the old parts of town. The room was ok for hotels in Istanbul with working aircon and a good bed and nice bathroom. The staff in the reception were two youngsters, who were green but very friendly and helpful. This isn't a luxury hotel, but very good value for the... More

I visited Istanbul with my boyfriend for 4 nights at the end of May and we both very much enjoyed our stay at the Magnificent hotel. It is a small hotel, but seems quite spacious compared to the other shops and spaces in Sultanahmet, which we thought was a great place to stay since there is much more to do... More
