I have seen many bad hotels in my life but never something like that. We are a young couple used to travel in a very spartan way. We slept in this "Hotel" ( Sorry...but it is very difficult to call it Hotel...) for 4 nights. You know the basement of Harry Potter? Here it is. First of all, the room... More

Magnificient only in name but not in fact. Me and my boyfriend stayed there for four nights, the only good thing about the hotel is its location in the district of Sulthanamet and its position, really close to the main attractions of Istanbul. The breakfast is bad, the basement room was very dark and the people from the street can... More

The location of the hotel was good in walking distance of 10 minutes, but up to the hill where there are the most attractive and interesting historical monuments like Sophia and others. Hotel rooms are nice and clean according our expectations, their category and reasonable price. As it is in the very center of the city, the traffic is busy... More

My wife and I stayed, the price in relation to quality is right, when we went they were remodeling so we had to move rooms by dust, breakfast is the same every day and have to climb several floors to get to restaurant. the staff is very friendly and attentive. For someone who dislikes breakfast always the same and climbing... More

A friend and I spent several days at the Magnificent Hotel, and we had a very nice stay. The location is great - it is very close to Sultanahmet Mosque, but it is on a quieter side street. That being said, it is close to a large number of shops and restaurants, so it is still very conveniently located. The... More

On the plus side, this place is in a relatively nice position being quite close to the Little Sophia, and the internal decorations are not bad. But without a good service, it's nothing. Below is our complain letter to Expedia (with some mods for booking info) for your reference. ============= This is my official complaint to Expedia and this "4star"... More

We were completely new at finding our way through Istanbul. On foot as night fell, local restaurant and store owners helped us find the hotel down the hilly cobblestones. Similarly, we found our way uphill to tour Sultanahmet over the next few days, using maps provided by the hotel. Staff assisted us with a variety of requests. Room was very... More

I was a bit taken back by the room we were given, very small, and the hardest bed I have ever slept on. The worst part was the nights since it was so loud due to the street traffic and people. It was very hard to sleep. As this was such a poor choice my wife wanted to return home... More

We booked through hotels.com. Ended up with the basement room. No bed bugs, but felt a bit like a dungeon. Cleanliness was poor, found old hair in the shower drain. Noise from the street was very loud, kept us up some nights. Area is convenient to main attractions, but be prepared to walk up hill. Breakfast was good one day... More
