Beautiful (but small) rooms decorated with Kilim carpet covered everything. Super nice and helpful staff, great breakfast included. Some nice little touches like coffee and tea bags in the room with a water kettle. 3 minutes on foot to the shopping streets of Sultanahmet, 5 minutes to the mosques, 15 minutes to the spice market and the grand bazaar. The... More

It practically shares a wall with the Blue Mosque, rooms are exquisitely decorated and Omar and Jaffar go out of their way to help you out. We stayed for 4 nights and you exit the right into the Hippodrome area within touching distancing of the major tourist sites of the city. Choosing another place over Djem, is simply crazy

Tucked into the side of the hill under the Blue Mosque, this small hotel is warm and welcoming, and very good value. It is easy walking distance to the key historic attractions - Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Hippodrome - and the Sultan Ahmet area has dozens of restaurant options. The decor is a quirky take on traditional furnishings. We... More

This Anatolian styled boutique hotel is nestled in the heart of the Sultanahmet area behind the Blue mosque and near to the Hippodrome and various cozy restaurants. All other major sites are within walking distance and the best part of it is that it iseasy to find your way back to the hotel by foot. Upon arrival I was greeted... More

We stayed at the Hotel Djem in October 2014. The hotel is at the back of the Blue Mosque, walking distance from almost all major attractions (Hagia Sofia, Cistern, Hippodrom etc.). We enjoyed the early and loud call of the muezzins from the minaret, we woke up but slept after it again. Very helpful and friendly staff, healthy breakfast, nice... More

We stayed in the Hotel Djem main building for five nights in early September 2014. Unfortunately, my husband and I both had a stomach bug (we brought it from the States, I think). And it was his birthday! The staff, front desk and breakfast staff both, were great. A birthday cake at breakfast! And phone calls for us and soup... More

We stayed at the Hotel Djem in October 2014. The hotel was decorated in a typically Turkish style and offers a good base to explore the major sights of Istanbul, being literally 1 minutes walk from the entrance to the Blue Mosque. The multitude of restaurants and bars of the main Sultanahmet area are also within a few minutes walk.... More

Great location for Sultanahmet attractions, as well as the trolley. Next door to the Blue Mosque. We stayed in an annex room, which was quite nice, very clean. The only problem was that we were so close to the mosque that we heard the 5:45 call to prayer as if he were in our room! Very good service from the... More

I have just stayed at the Djem for 3 nights with my husband and will definitely be going back!! If you want a big hotel chain with no interaction with staff and no real local knowledge to help plan your trip - then don't go here. However, if you want a small friendly family feel hotel, one that doesn't make... More

That was a great place to stay in. I have to start by saying that the manager of the Hotel is one great persson to deal with. He recently started managing the Hotel as he is the nephew of the owner and he is doing a great great job. He speaks fluently english and italian. He was very helpful and... More
