We stayed here in 2012 and loved it. We stayed in the downstairs dorm, but were the only ones there. It was a little difficult to find at first, but we were surprised by how quiet it was seeing its convenient location, which is very, very central and great for exploring! The staff at the time was great and helpful,... More

After much deliberation searching for a place to stay I finally decided on Topdeck and it was a very pleasant experience. I had been coordinating with Emmy (who was very helpful aswell) over email and everything was sorted. A bit of a let down was the fact that the airport pick up that I had booked through the hostel did... More

This hostel is situated in Sultanahmet in a quiet street, but in a few moments you will meet a really joyful street, full of restaurants and cafè. The hostel is a few steps from all the main tourist attractions: Saint Sofia, Basilic Cistern, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, etc. Topdeck has many kind of rooms: big for a lot of people... More

A young Aussie/Turkish couple, Emmy and Metin run this place. Very much on the ball. Breakfast is served on the roof with a view to die for. Spotlessley clean. Stayed there late May 2011 and was very impressed. Emmy particularly is very efficient/calm. Her and her partner (soon-to-be-husband) I wish all the best. Topdeck Cafe has accommodation too but is... This is a hostel that has some more upscale rooms too. I stayed in a very comfortable room with a double bed and a view over the Sea of Marmara. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was served up on the roof terrace overlooking the sea. All in all, a good budget choice and preferable to many... More

Top Deck was the best hostel my wife and I stayed at in 3 months of travel through Europe! Great location just behind the a busy restaurant \ cafe street and 5 mins to Blue Mosque & Hagia Sofia - which you can see from their roof top terrace! Awesome cooked breakfast on the roof top. Emmy (the Australian manager)... More

We arrived at Topdeck Istanbul to welcoming and friendly faces!! The staff we're very fun with a good sense of humor, whilst still being professional. Our room was nice and just perfect for our short stay in Istanbul. The highlight for me was the breakfast which was situated on the rooftop terrace. Very beautiful. The hostel is central and close... Location is key for this hostel. Right where you want to be if you're a short-term stay tourist wanting to see all the attractions. Cabs have a hard to find it, so make sure you have their phone numbers handy. It's about 40 Turkish Lira to get from Airport. About 3 of 4 people working there speak English fluently. Everyone... The Topdeck is located deep in Sultanahmet on a quiet side street but not far from a busy tourist area. The reception area was small and uninviting and the narrow winding stairs to the rooms seemed poorly lit, but then sensors turned lights on as needed. Our well-lit room was clean with a polished wooden floor and hooks for our... More
