Loved the hotel and the staff for their superb hospitality. Everybody in the hotel was so polite cheerful and helpful. Nice spacious rooms, bathrooms are slightly small (but you wouldn’t be spending your whole day in bathrooms anyways.) Breakfast has got loads of different choices and every day they are different. I just loved the breakfast each day. Also the... More

The rooms were beautiful, the staff was outstanding, service-minded, polite and you really felt unique, they even remembered our names when we came down for breakfast. The hotel situated in the middle of the mosque area so it was easy to visit all famous places. Our grandchildren loved the hotel pool and we loved the breakfast.

When we 1st approached the hotel, I was a bit concerned, but once we settled in, all apprehension vanished. Not only that we realised what a great location this was to explore the old city and how easy it was to get to the new one. Restaurants, Shopping, public transport, Hammams, conveniences, coffee houses and sheesha bars all within 5... More

Our room was like one of a sultan - we were completely blown away. The rooftop restaurant has amazing food and service and spa centre has excellent facilities. But customer service is second to none! They were very welcoming and friendly and the cleaners left our room spotless every day!

Very nice hotel property offering guests a convenient hub to explore the old city. Our terrace room was spacious and very comfortable. The linens on our bed were outstanding - the very best we have ever experienced! The rooftop restaurant offered beautiful views with great food - my Husband said his lamp chops were the best he's ever had -... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel itself is lovely, with comfortable rooms and a great breakfast. The location is excellent - a few minutes walk to all the main attractions. The staff in particular were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We had a bad start having lost a bag with a passport inside but Hilmi on reception was so cheerful... More

We stayed at the Sultania post Cruise for two nights and the hotel was a delight. We arrived at 9:30am offered refreshment and were asked to wait while reception checked out some guests. After an hour and many apologies we checked in and to make up for the delay assigned room 1401!! ( find out for yourself) The staff could... More

Perfect hotel, perfect stay. Great welcome, friendly staff, nice room with a big balcony, marble shower, nice amneties, great spa with jaccuzi and pool, hardwood floors in the room, even in the room a nice welcome with incense sticks on a plate under a closure head (for those who don't want to lit them), free welcome drink, free wifi, staff... Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
