We stay for 4 nights. Everything was as expected and much more, as I read on tripadvisor before my reservation. You can be sure that what was written about this hotel is true. Very nice, clean, warm attention, very good breakfast. I recommend it highly! Susana

A very small and cozy hotel. Not ideal for families with little children since it does not have any amenities other than breakfast. Excellent for people on the go. The rooms were immaculate and you were given daily water bottles and a snack. Well-priced and cozy. I went with my husband and another couple and it suited our needs. I... More

This little jewel was a great place to stay in Istanbul. The location could not be better, it is right by the main attrations in Istanbul, so great to return to to lie down for half an hour to recharge to go back to sight seeing. The family run hotel made us feel very welcome and wanted to help us... More

Hotel Saba Sultan is in a very comfortable place. In Sultanahment, you can see 70% of best places walking distance. People are very kind and can give you very good advises on sight seeing. Clean and simple. The rooms are not new and limited space, but OK. TV has a lot of foreign channels. Single beds are not king size... More

We booked with Saba Sultan as part of a package with Cheaptickets.com. The hotel is located in Istanbul's old town and in a neighborhood of inexpensive hotels on the hill behind the Blue Mosque. Really convenient for touring the city and accessing lots of terraced restaurants nearby. You can jump on a tram at Sultanahmet (by the Mosque) and get... More

Very, very nice hotel. Very well kept. Very clean. Air conditioned (needed in July). Elevator (works well). Staff is very helpful. Very courteous. Breakfast is excellent. View from terrace is spectacular. Very close to all the most wonderful structures of the Moslem world. The only small negative was immediate neighborhood was slightly run down. Many excellent authentic Moslem restaurants very... More

The hotel can´t be located at a better place. Near the blue mosque in the old city. Just below the restaurant street. Nice rooftop with great seaview. Clean and moderate rooms. Nice and kind staff that was very helpfull. We will be back someday.

The hotel was located close to many of the old city sites and the rooftop was beautiful to hang out on. The staff was extremely helpful and even helped us retrieve a bag we accidentally left at the hotel after we had already left for the airport.

Everything was just as they advertised. Everything worked well. They were extremely polite and helpful. Most major attractions were very close. Would highly recommend their hotel. The view from the terrace is amazing. Breakfast was excellent they even cooked eggs as you requested.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
