PROS: Very friendly staff. In “old town”, very close to all the big tourist attractions but also VERY touristic with all what that means. WiFi was ok and worked in the room, in periods it was slower but I have had much worse. Cleaning was good. Area pretty calm. CONS: Room view is nice in one direction; our room was... More

This hotel is perfectly located in Sultanahmet close to all the major city attractions, lovely restaurants and only 30 - 45 minutes from the airport (depending on traffic). During our four night stay, we were impressed by the cleanliness with our room being serviced every day, bottled water in the minibar everyday & a really good breakfast with a selection... More

What a great hotel. At first glance i was not so sure i had made the right decision, tucked away in a back street, very small-looking. BUT when i went inside, the staff made me so welcome and the room - amazing. Very unique, spacious and spotlessly clean. Marvellous breakfast to set me up for the morning. The location is... More

I really could not fault this hotel- it was absolutely perfect for a city break in Istanbul! So central- a mere five-minute walk from Sultanahmet Square (Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cisterns, Topkapi Palace, Arasta Bazaar and tram line which links directly to Beyoglu District). Our room was spotlessly clean, cosy and warm, so peaceful and quiet, comfy beds, complimentary... More

I stayed at the Saba Sultan hotel and it was perfect! It's close to the main street where all the restaurants and bars are. The Blue Mosque and the other sites are just a three minute walk away. The hotel was clean, our room had a beautiful view. The service we received from the staff and the front desk was... More

We stayed for 5 nights and had a sea view room. The hotel was superbly located near the sultanameht area.It was close to many restaurants and most of the main attractions were within walking distance. The tram was a 5 minute walk away giving access to other areas. The hotel is located in a side street away from noise. It also has... More

This hotel is located in the Sultanahmet area on a very quiet street. The Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and many other top attractions are within walking distance. And so is the tram and numerous great restaurants. Room was clean with a comfortable bed and good wifi. Frontdesk staff was very friendly, check-in/check-out went quick and smooth and breakfast was delicious.... More

We stayed in this small hotel for our short sight seeing visit to Istanbul. The hotel was small, off a small side street, in the old city area, close to a street with many restaurants. The hotel was clean, room lovely and has a fantastic view from their terrace. The service was excellent and it is only meters away from... More

The Saba Sultan is a small hotel in the side streets of Sultanahmet within metres of the Blue Mosque, Hagya Sophia and Topkapi Palace. The room was clean and fridge was stocked with water and snacks. We were on the third floor with views of the sea, we also went up to the terrace to take in the views of... More

My first suggestion for people traveling to Istanbul is to not stay in the Old City area, but rather stay near Taksim or Galata. Hotels are nicer there, less touristy plus more restaurants and shopping. To get to the Old City, hop on the T1 line and exit at Sultanahmet station. Saba Sultan is located in the old city and...
