The hotel is situated walking distance from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. Its not a large hotel, more of a polished guest house but very neat and clean with all modern facilities. We stayed at the 2nd floor. Our bags were swiftly picked up by the hotel staff and taken over the narrow stairs. The room was large and very... More

Q hotel is located in a prime location for all the tourist attractions and authentic Turkish restaurants. Rooms were clean and spacious. The staff were outstanding!!! Went above and beyond to help us with everything from booming cars, day trips, making sure we didn't get ripped off even took our laundry and had it cleaned and dried within a couple... More

Location is really excellent, all the sights are very close. Every day they clean up the room, even though we had an apartment...the staff is very friendly and the wifi works well. We did not eat in the hotel but in the surrounding area is also many good restaurants. At the end of our trip we did not want to... More

The location of this hotel is fantastic. right around the corner of blue mosque and hagia sofia. We were welcomed very friendly and even got an upgrade to a room with seaview (yes we could see some sea). Room, beds and bathroom were fine and breakfast was very good. Staff was very friendly. One point which didn't bother me but... More

My review is for the two bedroom apartment that we stayed in during our 1 week stay in Istanbul. The service was great from the moment we made our booking. Ramazan was attentive and very helpful in catering to our 2 families with two 2year olds in tow. Muhammad helped us with our luggages when we arrived. We know that... More

I visited Q Hotel Istanbul in Mid April 2015 for a short holiday. The hotel is simple and convenient for a couple or small group to spend their short stay. The hotel is strategically located in the Sultanahmet are (just five minutes walking from the famous Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia). Moreover, the hotel's staff is very friendly and helpful.

Prior to my arrival in Istanbul, I had quite a few enquiries, these were all dealt with by Ramazan, who reassured me that everything would be in order on my arrival, he also organised the transfers for our party as we were coming in on two separate flights. I was checked in to the hotel by Sefa. I was offered... More

Someone who read comments can be confused. There is obviously 2 type of rooms/appartments-in the main hotel building and in nearby flat building. We (a family of four) were staying in appartment in nearby building, but were prepared on that. Appartment is not nearly nice and stylish as rooms in main building, but we wanted to be together and that... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
