The level of service at this hotel is absolutely extraordinary. It begins well before you ever arrive. I had trouble getting a reservation, but the manager stayed in touch with me until there was an opening, even inviting me to simply come to the Hotel Amira for tea and other services if I didn't get to stay there! The concierges... More

A fantastic hotel in the heart of Istanbul. Close to all attractions, conveniently located. The rooms are fantastic, great size and very clean. The staff are absolutely amazing, very friendly and helpful. No question was too hard for them. Definitely recommend to stay and I will be sure to return to this great hotel on my next Istanbul visit. The... More

I called several hotels in Sultanahmet where we considered staying. When I called the Amira, it was answered by someone with such warmth that I was certain this was the place we wanted to stay. We were not disappointed. Once there everyone on the staff treated us with warmth and good nature, as if we were the only people in... More

Upon my early arrival after disembarking from my cruise, the hotel manager welcomed me warmly gave me a place to sit and connect with Wifi, instructed me on a few phrases in Turkish, and offered a map and suggestions on a few sites to see that would be closed the following day. The hotel team was exceptional, each having their... More

Hotel Amira certainly exceeded our expectations, from arranging our transfer from the cruise dock, giving us an individual city orientation, making restaurant reservations along with complimentary car service and having tram tokens available to make our visit easier. The breakfasts were excellent, and tea treats on the roof terrace (with a view of the water and the Blue Mosque), listening... More

In attempting to not be redundant, I won't rave about the service, the staff, the quality of their character that exudes genuine care and devotion to their customers...the daily attention you will receive to make sure your every moment is filled with your expectations! So, what else is there to say? Book this hotel.

I've recently returned from a stay at Hotel Amira and am writing this review to affirm the numerous positive reviews already on this site. The hotel offers absolutely fantastic levels of service and its true worth lays not in its location, rooms or meals, all of which are pretty good, but rather in the quality of the amazing staff who... Stayed there for 5 nights 5-10/08/2015. Amazing location, 5-10 min walk from blue mosque and hagia sophia. The staff was also amazing, always happy to help with a smile. As for the services: Nice breakfast Free highspeed with good signal wifi everywhere Free 3g modem for internet access anywhere in the city Complimentary tea-time buffet (nice touch after a day... Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
