We only stayed one night at Hotel Seraglio but it was excellent. The location couldn't be better for visiting the main tourist attractions. The rooms are very nice, modern and clean. The staff is extremely friendly. The breakfast was also very good. The prices are also reasonable for the overall quality.

Seraglio is a small and lovely boutique hotel on a quiet street in Sultanahmet. It's within walking distance to most of the Istanbul tourist attractions like the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar, etc. The Arasta Bazaar is just less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel. The staffs are very friendly and helpful, especially Yusuf. We were really satisfied... More

I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. I have to admit I was a little unsure about where to stay in this big hustling city, but all my worry disappeared when we checked into this wonderful place. Greeted by the most helpful reception attendant you could ask for. We arrived very early in the morning and after... More

Lovely hotel, my wife and I fell in love with the place right from the moment we read one of the reviews on Trip advisor. Tucked away yet in the heart of old Istanbul, with lovely decor and thoughtfully furnished rooms. Kanaan was a lovely host, showed us where to go, what to do, and pointed us to the lovely... More

Seraglio is a small hotel within walking distance of the Blue Mosque and many of the other must see attractions in Istanbul. The rooms are comfortable and modern, and the whole hotel is kept clean. It is a small hotel so if you are there for a few days the staff remember you. Selection at breakfast is very good and... More

The hotel was really easy to find being within 5 minutes from the Blue Mosque. We were greeted with a drink, definitely appreciated in the 30+ degree heat. We spent five days in Istanbul in total and I felt we had found one of the best hotels in the city. For the price, service and location it is difficult to... More

Me and my wife spent 3 nights at Hotel Seraglio, Istanbul. I have never met such a hospitality! My wife had 50th birthday - we will never forget the little surprise hotel arranged... Staff people were always willing to help where ever you needed. Rooms very nice and clean. Breakfast very good and varied! Location only less than five minutes... More

We stayed at Seraglio for 4 nights in June. If you book through their web site, you get one way transport to or from aeroport for free. You can also get a discount by paying in cash. The location is less than 1 minute walk away from the Blue Mosque and other tourist sites. The reception staff (especially Kemal) were... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
