If you want to visit Istanbul and be in the centre with a good access to bars and restaurants than you need to stay in The Pera Hotel ! Rooms very nice, somehow when you're there you don't have the feeling of being in Turkey but in France, belle epoch style . The service is very good and attempting .... More

Located in the heart of the city, close the Istiklal street, Galata Tower, it is small hotel and it looks like just renovated breakfast was nice and served at the loby . We were here in May 2015 liked very much and recommend this hotel.

The location is very good, near Taksim square and next to a metro station. The room was nice, wifi was very slow. AC doesn't work in our room, so it was too hot to sleep well, we told the reception twice but nothing has happened.

Hotel is located 10 minutes walk from Taksim square and Istiklal street, surrounded with hundreds of bars and restaurants. Is is close to a metro staton leading to the historic part of the city. The hotel itself is s bit old, rooms are small bit it is OK for a citybreak. So- great location, average hotel but recommended if you... More

We had more than expected. The room was very good and really clean, and for the price was a big deal. The staff was lovely, very helpful and friendly. Good turkish breakfast quality. The location is just perfect. We will definitely go back.

I visited Istanbul for a business trip, that's why i chose Pera hotel, because of the location. Pera hotel is located in the centre of Istanbul and that's why the noise level is loud. The rooms were OK and clean but the wi-fi was horrible. Service was fine and the personnel was quite helpful. I suggest Pera hotel only for... More

Stayed at this hotel with my husband at the beginning of the month for 4 nights. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much as we needed constant help with the tv to get American channels and the iron every morning. Our room was on the 6th floor which was great as it had a balcony. We were... More

There are no non-smoking rooms even if they say so! We asked for a non-smoking room and when we arrived the door and windows were open, open to make the smoke go away. What a joke!!!! The photo they are showing is the De Luxe room on the 8th floor, relativly big. The rest of the rooms are very small,... More

Nothing is good about this place! Non-smoking rooms will have what it feels like a direct duct with smoke coming into the room! The smell was so disgusting that neither my husband or I were able to sleep, and got up as if we had gone out to a club all night.. The shower was smaller than small, it was... More

It is no more than a 1, or at most 2 star accommodation. The boys on reception are unhelpful, the miniscule room reeked of stale cigarette smoke, the bathroom is minute, there was mould in the shower, the shower head itself was held together by a plastic bag, the door to the shower fell off, the door to the bathroom... Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
