First of all the Staff is Amazing! They were extremely welcoming, professional, and helpful. - Rooms are clean, cozy and charming. - Bucoleon hotel is perfect for tourists and people who wants to explore Istanbul, because it is close to everything. Great location -- 5 minute walk to Arasta Bazaar, Blue Mosque, & Hagia Sophia. Clean, comfortable room & bathroom. Always felt safe (for 2 young women traveling alone, this was a high priority). Reliable wifi. Generally helpful staff with proficiency in English. Good breakfast selection on the rooftop terrace. Very reasonably priced. Lacking nightlife options in the surrounding area.

Mr. Ayman, the owner is the main reason to stay at this hotel. He was very genuine and really went above and beyond to make his hosts feel welcome. We stayed at the new construction building at this hotel. We were able to stay in the top floor room, which had amazing views of the sea! The bedroom was huge,... More

The hotel is clean, the location is good, very close to blue mosque and the staffs are excellent. They always want to help you for whatever you need. Wifi is good too. Easy to find food and min market nearby.

I happened to find this hotel at around 7:00 pm in February, it is quite clean. Hot water for shower is perfect. And it is quite near the Old Palace, very convenient to walk there. The service (24 hours) here is very good, a kind heart young guy will help you almost everything, and

Actually, I didn't have any expectation on this hotel because the price was fairly cheap. However, It located very near the blue mosque and many good reviews. The room was ok. It's a bit small but I can't complain. It was clean, high speed wifi, very cozy and warm. Especially, breakfast was fantastic. I don't know how they make a... More

Great little hotel. Great view of the Sea of Marmara. Nice English speaking front desk. Be sure to ask for an omelette at breakfast. Get a room on an upper floor for the best views. Really fun to watch the ships and the seagulls go by. Very close to the Blue Mosque and the Hippodrome.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
