Marinem istanbul is a collection of all the things you want to avoid in a stay. rooms are dingy, staff can't speak English( not even a word), our window opened to a nasty wall. our phone speaker was broken and there was not even a trash can in the room( can you believe it?). and after all, the staff lacked... Our room was very small and room window is open to a wall view, when i asked hotel reception for a room change , he told me it's not possible. The hotel staff were unkind and Very nosy. Marinem offered a cheap accommodation at all.

This is certainly the worst hotel I have ever been in my life! I spent four nights here for New Year's holidays and I regret this experience. First we got a room with no window! After complaining, we spent one night in another hotel and the other day we got a new room. Beds are uncomfortable and old, pillows are... More

I stayed with my boyfriend for 3 nights but we spent very little time in the hotel. Only for a sleepover. We got a room with 4 beds and when I asked if there was a mistake they said that it's ok and we had that bigger room which was great. The only bad thing was that there was no... More

The hotel is in a bad location, and the staff does not speak English (apart from one reseptionist), which makes everything difficult. Some of the rooms look into the ventilation chute and are dark. I have had much better breakfasts in Turkey. The hotel was reasonable.

Staying in Grand Bazaar

Neighborhood Profile
Grand Bazaar
Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighborhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.
