Nice little boutique hotel in the Sultanahmet area with all the major sights within easy walking distance ( 5 minutes from The Blue Mosque and Sultanahmet Square and 10 mins from the tram stop. On checking in, the chap on reception was very keen to show us brochures for various excursions etc. which we could have done without after travelliing... More

Visited this hotel early part of the year with my boyfriend, was both pleasantly surprised as it was a last minute deal. Location was perfect in the heart of everything-no need for cabs. Staff in the hotel was so friendly and helpful, couldn't help us enough. Only down side was the over the top - tipping was a joke. plus... More

Lovely hotel in a lovely, quite location. 5 minute walk from Sultan Ahmed, 10 minutes from the Grand Bazaar, 5 minute walk to the tram. Friendly staff, clean rooms. However, if you need to book a transfer to the airport, go to the travel agents next door as it is half the price of what the hotel will charge you.... More

The Hotel Staff could not do enough for us, they arranged an airport transfer for us and the driver was there even though the plane was an hour late, after midnight. The room was clean, the shower was great, the breakfasts adequate and the location was ideal. We ate at rooftop terraces, visited the sites, all within easy walking distances.... More

Choosing a honeymoon hotel is difficult, you need to strike a balance between privacy, service and location. Antis scores on all three, a charming little hotel within a few minutes walk of the sea, some of the nicest restaurants and shops in the city and of course the magnificence of the Hagia Sophia and Sultanahmet Mosque. We arrived in a... More

This was our first visit to Istanbul and we were there for six nights. The hotel is 5-7 minute walk to the Sultan Ahmet Mosque (The Blue Mosque), the Hagia Sophia Museum, the Basilica Cistern (a must see - most tours do not include it), the Topkapi Palace & the tramline. There are some excellent restaurants in the area -... More

The hotel staff are very friendly but the rest is a complete shambles! I booked a sea view room and took they my money but, my disappointment began upon my arrival. I was given a railway line view instead. They refused to refund the difference in rate! A total rip off...! They lady at the reception offered me a different... More

My expectant wife and I have just completed an 8 day holiday in Istanbul, with Antis Hotel as our home for the duration of our stay. This was our first trip to Turkey and Istanbul did not disappoint, and neither did Antis Hotel. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the staff were successful in delivering a... More

I have stayed here twice. Both times I have had a lovely clean and comfortable room with a great bathroom. The location is excellent, a 5 minute walk to the Blue Mosque but away from the madness. The first time I had a very noisy room on the front corner but the second time my room was divine and quiet.... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
