I spent a couple of days there at my honeymoon .. It is really clean and the staff is very welcoming.. The biggest obstacle was that in the map u got fooled that it is just a few meters from the tramway station.. It is correct! But the steps are actually climbing ! It is down the hill so u... More

We stayed 18 nights at the Mangana Konak Hotel. This fine establishment is located in the heart Sultanahmet just walking distance from the Blue mosque/hagia Sophia. The hotel staff, in particular the manager Mr Koray went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Apart from the excellent service, the rooms are large/ clean, buffet breakfast is delicious and... More

I went on short trip to turkey with my husband in April 2015. We stayed at this hotel, It was small but I loved that it was so cosy. The staff at the hotel were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast menu was traditional, which was nice to try..

We stayed at Mangana Konak for 3 nights in 2 rooms -- our 2 teenagers shared one room while my husband and I had the other. The rooms were very large (we note they had smaller ones too), with a sofa setting as well as well-fitted spacious bathrooms. The only problem we had was that neither of our jacuzzis worked,... First of all I would like to give special thanks to the Hotel manager, Mr Kray, who was a very nice person and provided vehicle transport to and from the airport. On arrival the staff were very polite and helpful, the rooms were both large in size and very clean, as well as having free WiFi. The breakfast was healthy... More

Firstly I would like to apologise for my baby crying. We were in the garden suite ground floor for 7 nights and it seems her volume of crying could be echoed through the building. She was slightly poorly which meant many restless nights. Lift works only space for 2 people. Good views from the terrace I watched a nice thunderstorm... More

I stayed here with my two sisters and my mum. The hotel is a converted traditional house overlooking the Marmara Sea and the Bosphorous. We stayed in the Comfort Suite, which is easily big enough for four people. The staff were so helpful and friendly: special mention for Koray, the manager, who couldn't do enough for us, and Sabur who... More

When we arrived we were greeted by the concierge who gave us a map of the area and wi-fi password and asked if we needed any services such as Reservation, Car service, Turkish bath etc. Our room was cleaned daily and breakfast was excellent and the view was wonderful, we left a tip for the person who prepare breakfast and... Terribile! We arrived at the hotel (we reserved one month before) and the rooms were all completed, so they moved in another hotel. The day after they promise us to send the luggage here but when we return in the hotel at 5.30 pm the luggage weren't there. We'll wait for them till 8. Terrible service!! Very unconfortable. At midnight... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
