This small & nice hotel is located on the Asian side of Istanbul and it's less expensive than similar class hotels on the European side. Our room was small, but comfortable and clean. The only improvement I would suggest is to replace the white towels with the new ones. The hotel is located on a street near the main Kadikoy... More

Have returned home after a week in Istanbul staying at the Sidonya Hotel. Excellent location on the Asian side of Istanbul, in Kadikoy. Great for access to ferries, tram, dolmus, minibus. The room was comfortable, warm (air condition in room if needed), and extremely clean. Bathroom was small but more than adequate for needs, with a powerful shower. Walls are... More

I stayed at Sidonya hotel for the first time. Tt was very quiet, comfortable hotel on the Asian side of admirable Istanbul. Room was very clean, comfortable. The location of hotel was very good, 10 minute walk from the ferry port. The restaurant on the 5th floor with amazing views over the Boshporus. Room quality was very good for a... More

I happened to arrive into Istanbul at the airport on the Asian side of the city, so I decided to stay at a hotel on that side of town for a different experience -- and there are not a lot of good hotel alternatives. This wasn't my first visit, and I wouldn't necessarily advise a first-time visitor to Istanbul to... More

I stayed at Sidonya Hotel for one night (25 to 26 December 2013). It was a good 3-star hotel on the Asian side of Istanbul. It was very well placed to take the ferry to Old Istanbul and very near the Havatas coach to Sabiha Gökçen airport, which is precisely what I wanted. The area was very quiet in spite... More

The hotel is a very good 3 star hotel on the Asian side in Istanbul. It is not far from the ferry port, about 10 minutes walk. If you arrive by ferry turn left. There is a steep walk uphill about 200m when you get to the actual street. It is a good location as this area is quite interesting,... More

I am sorry to have to write this review, but I feel I must. I encountered a bed bug problem at the Sidonya on my first night's stay - I was a guest for 5 nights. I asked to be moved to another room at 3am, when I started to itch, and discovered a couple of creepy crawlers in my... More

Much less expensive than the European side of Istanbul, with easy access to all of the great sites, this is a terrific bargain. The staff is more than courteous. They exude Turkish hospitality. Unlike comparable places, they did not have their hands out looking for a tip. There is a very convenient bus from the Asian aise airport. Buses, shared... More

The hotel is in Kadikoy, the Asian area of town, close to the bus (to airport) as well as the ferries (to European side). Overall the hotel is nice and cheap. Rooms are comfy and the suite (I got for free) is spacious. If you into football, don't miss a Fenerbahce game! The hotel is about 15 minutes by foot... More

A recent stay at Sidonya Hotel on the Asian side of Istanbul was a pleasant experience. While the rooms are fairly small compared to what one might be used to in other hotels and cities it was comfortable and clean. The hotel itself is located on a street near the main Kadıköy bus stop and the ferry terminal making it... More
