If you choose the Sultanahmet shore of Istanbul (the property is actually in Sirkeci; the Sultanahmet vs. Beyoglu quandary is well-trod) then I confidently recommend Hotellino as very decent accommodations. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, from the owner who seemed to especially like greeting his guests at breakfast to the breakfast staff that poured our coffee as soon... More

Well located, with pleasant staff and informative concierge. Close to several of the local attractions, with good breakfast and clean rooms, Hotellino is totally recommended to those of you, who are looking of a value for money accommodation solution.

Loved our stay in this small lovely hotel in a excellent location with fantastic public transport links. Our room was of good size, clean and well organised. The area was busy, and noisy during the day but we felt that the noise did taper off towards the later hours.

The way I was welcomed back at Hotellino made me feel I was actually returning home for the holidays. Serving the guests' needs, quite professionally, starts at breakfast and continues throughout the day, with helpful advice from the managers and crew who make a very nice team. I am returning to Hotellino- for the fifth time!!

Since our arrival the experience was great, warm reception, friendly personnel wanting to help with our questions about the city. Clean and nice room, warm in winter. Complete breakfast seasoned with the friendly managers trying to help us with our daily tour and advising us. The hotel is in a pedestrian street 15m walking away from Sultanahmet, Spices Bazaar and... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
